What's your percent of Rent to Gross Profit?

Thanks Flash

I've prospected the more reputable shops, but they either don't have the space or some other reason.

Is your shop a former gas station or the like with a floor drain? Can't come by those here for anywhere near that price. They've either been converted to art galleries or the asking rent is thru the roof. There's one three bay + lots of fenced property. I'll check on that and post back. But I'm guessing 4-5K minimum.

BTW -

Flash Gordon was one of my Favorites

Look in an Industrial Park for cheaper rates

I was never a big fan of the comic book character Flash Gordon. From what I understand though, he's a HUGH fan of me :awesome:

Argghhh....

Why?

I hope I don't end up with the reputation as 'one of those guys...' :(

I just thought if there was anywhere to get feedback on the cost of doing business, what better place then AutoGeek.

No, you are not "that guy" I just get confused at times

What other questions do you have? I feel like chatting tonight :hungry:

Sorry for the delay.

Thanks for the offer but I'm going to try a new post to see if anyone will respond to what their cost of materials are for doing a full detail Not paint correct); i.e. just wash, clay, wax, wheels, interior, etc.

Not to start a flame or anything, but where I'm coming from is, I just finished 'Leatheriqueing' my personal daily driver. I blew out the interior, vacuumed, applied the conditioner by hand with nitrile gloves (including dash and doors) -let it work overnite - applied the cleaner, worked it off with a damp cloth then buffed everything, and vacuumed again.

Now this may not be what's included in an express or average detail, but it took about 5 hours work. Maybe more.

So, I have searched this and other forums and I'm trying to understand how one makes any money charging $150.00 +/- for a detail?
