Has Anyone Cleaned and Conditioned These Seats Yet?!?!?! Scared me the first time!!!!

Just wanted to add a few things to this thread to help others out working on this kind of leather. First it's highly absorbent, they make cleaners/brushes made specific for nubuck and even those use sparingly, and as far as protectant's unless your using the cream from ford use sparingly aswell. It's better to add multiple light layers vs one heavy layer of protectant. Check the manufactures website before using a protectant on these seats, most will say not to use there stuff on nubuck. And last but not least after you put the protectant on, don't let the seats sit in direct sunlight, when the seats get super hot while wet they will bake and dry up meaning the leather won't be near as soft. Leather masters makes nubuck specific stuff if you don't want to use fords products. If I left anything out shoot away with questions, in Texas everyone has a king ranch lol

Good info here man - very good info - thanx

This material is the same thing as the King Ranch saddle leather. I wonder if you could use a product like saddle soap on these ?

Yes ^

I've worked on several of these (King Ranch) seats over the years and have found the best product is made by Farnam. Its name is Leather New

The best way I've found to apply is by hand. Squirt the stuff in your palm and massage into the seat. Wipe of any excess afterwards

The seats will have almost like a sticky feeling afterwards, but that will go away in a day of two. The products durability is around 2-3 months. This stuff leaves the seats with a rich, deep look

Your hands will smell like a Horse saddle for two or three days afterwards no matter how many times you wash. Crazy stuff MAN!!!!
