So Im working on 2 Enterprise Rental cars today...... and I hear a big BANG! I start walking toward this guy backing his truck out of the parking lot (which was extremely close to my truck).... the guy sees me coming towards him and speeds off in the small parking lot! I then see this super long scratch down the side of my truck. Then I think to myself, "Yep, thats about right". LOL - thats how my week has been lol!

Any similar stories?!?!?!
 
You are amazingly calm.. I would have gone ballistic. I hope you got a vehicle description or plate number and called the police to report a hit and run.

Sorry to here that It's the sign of the times, earthquakes, floods, STUPID PEOPLE, famine, pestilence.....
The guy was probably like "iT'Ll bUf oUt.."
 
SMH (Shaking My Head) man oh man...that really sucks. I'm sorry that happened to you. Like DaGonz said I would have lost it. I had something pretty similar happen to me. It sucks donkey nuts!
 
Damn man that sucks. If only you could have grabbed his plate number.

Sorry to hear that. I'd have probably lost it too. Hope the damage can be repaired with minimal expense/effort.

I've had shopping cart scuffs on my vehicles, but got them off or at least hidden with a little effort.

There seems to be an abundance of inconsiderate people, and that number is growing, unfortunately.
 
i almost got arrested. drunk security guard at my old work denied the same thing, and it was obvious cause he (the drunk security guard) was driving a red caravan shuttle vehicle and the only red vehicle that would ever park next to me was that. plus the body line from the van went right onto my car. when he lied to the cop i almost got arrested for choking the crap outa him when all i wanted was the truth. insurance gave me $1200 for the damage which wasnt enough to buy gm laquor paint so i ended up driving around with a s***brown front end and the rest of the car was black. god help me with the new car if someone hits it.
 
Obviously you're not a good shot from long range....

I was going to get the plate number - but he sped off! I stayed calm cause I didnt want to loose it in front of Enterprise. Oh well - its done :dunno:

Impressed that you kept a cool head about it, probably the best option. Hopefully it can be corrected or Insurance can take care of it. I am a bit on the paranoid side if I have to park next to a car that looks like it is owned by an inconsiderate person I occasionally snap a quick pic of the license plate on my phone should there be an issue when I return.

Did you ask Enterprise if they have lot cameras?

They came out and were shocked - but said there were no cameras. This is a smaller Enterprise out more in the country. I'll snap a pic of the scratch later -

Sorry to hear that...props for staying calm. Losing your cool in a situation is certainly not going to fix anything or make anything better....usually just the opposite. :)

Was this person leaving Enterprise? Enterprise might have a camera in the parking lot? I would ask Enterprise. Good luck
 
Well I commend you for not losing your cool. My girl got a gently used 2008 MBZ C350 last Friday, I told the dealer not to prep it or fix the two scratches on it I will. Well on Saturday morning we are sitting at this little cafe by the house having a bagel and coffee and this family walks out, 2 kids @ 10 or so. They are parked next to us and the one kid just opens the door and bam right into the car. So I walk over the 10 feet and say excuse me and tell him what happened and he says to me, we did not do that. I lost it, we were sitting literally 10 feet away and saw the whole thing. I wrote down the license called the PD, private lot nothing they would do said it was not a hit and run etc.. Oh well PDR guy time, oh and it was my fault for parking there at least for a couple of hours till she calmed down. I see the jackhole again and I'm going in the grocery store next door and finding the greasiest most digusting thing I can find and dumping it on his car.

You literally take a picture of every beat up/old car that's parked next to you? That just seems like a lot of pictures. Worst case scenario and something happens to your car, how would you know/prove it was that beat up car? Just asking.
 
Sorry to hear this happen man... I hate it when people are inconsiderate and downright criminal when they knew they did something...

Get a package of bologna and throw the slices all over the car... or even a few cans of Coke! He will need a paint job after that one... Lol... I am just kidding! If you did these things it will be back to haunt you...

No they were actually leaving the shooting range lol - come to think of it, Im glad I didnt get crazy lol!

That sounds very safe lol - just realized after Bobby asked if they were coming out of Enterprise that he was actually leaving the shooting range..... maybe chasing him would have been a dyer mistake!
