Hello everyone,

I thought I would try a video review for a change. This one is on CarPro Eraser that I was lucky enough to win from the contest not long ago. It is my first video review so keep that in mind. It's not as good as Garry Dean or CEE DOG's reviews but give me some time and practice and maybe it will improve . Anyway, as I continue to polish the car I plan to snap some pictures and shoot a little more video and add to this thread.

Thanks for watching!

Richard

Thanks for the great review Richard! My Eraser will be here tomorrow! Glad I made the purchase.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks Nick. Like I said, when I start polishing again I will shoot some video of Eraser in action. If I can obtain video editing software then hopefully future videos will be better. I'm open to recommendations, please :).

Great review! Sony Vegas is a great software for windows. Or any pinnacle video software.

Great review Richard. My only recommendation would be to ditch the video and go to pictures. IMO videos don't even come close to showing the level of detail that good pictures do. just my .02.

Richard, great review! Between "not enough lube" and "money shot", you had me LMFAO! Great job.

You did a fantastic job! Keep up the good work! We need more videos!

Don't worry about the people who don't prefer vids to pics. It's all about what you like better. If your target audience is interested they will watch. It's no big deal. Photos can be photochopped. Just keep using raw footage.

Great review, video was just fine. Always good to see videos that shows the results and narration that explains the process you used to get the results. Keep the vidoes coming.

Tom

Great review Richard !!!

Thanks Pat :xyxthumbs:

Thanks! I will look into those products this evening. Are they pretty straight forward to use or have a lot of features like Photoshop?

Thanks Dave. I think videos can be good but I still like traditional write ups including text and pictures. The reason I say this is because if someone is using their phone for a quick reference, videos may not always play plus it can be a burden on your data plan. It's time to replace our point and shoot and want something that takes higher quality photos.

Thanks Richy! Twisted minds at work!

Thanks Garry, much appreciated! I wasn't sure about doing video but they way you and Richy crank them out, it kind of motivated me to try. I have a long way to go but in time I hope to get better. Doing video is not as easy as snapping a few pics, so my hat is off to you and Richy! Like I said to Dave above, I do like the addition of text and pictures if someone is using their phone or lack the bandwidth to watch, they can fall back on those.

I still say using a mix of both photos and video is the best of both worlds.... you can get some detail shots but with a product like this, "in action" videos are also quite valuable.

That said, great video Richard! Looks like the paint on that Regal will make a good test-bed to check for removed fillers/oils.

Thanks Charlie. It's funny you mention oils and this paint, if you go to 1:32 you will see my fingerprint on the paint near the door. This paint does show everything! I will show examples in my Duragloss write up.

Thanks Tom

Sweet! I'm glad that you liked it because I ordered a bottle with my last order and plan on using it this weekend. I've used various strengths of IPA, Optimum Power Clean and even the two mixed, to remove polishing oils, so I'm looking forward to see how Eraser performs. :)

Very nice review...now get that bottle off the car!!! LOL! But you've actually got me interested in this. I have a black TSX and I hate how dust collects on the car. Thanks for this review.

AG...please carry this in a 5 liter!

Awesome video review Richard!

I completely agree. I have really enjoyed using this product. I went from compounding and polishing to only a wipedown with Eraser before applying CQuartz and its still beading like a champ. It really is a great product. Really cool to hear the reassurance from you and the wife about its contrast with Griots pre-wax cleaner. After reading the ingredients of the griots product on their website it was clear to me that isn't something I would use before applying a nano coating. I am very happy with Eraser for coating prep though.

Thanks again buddy,
Cheers

P.S. Autogeek, please bring the 5 liter containers to our market.

IPA and Power Clean are very effective cleaners, this is just a great alternative. I honestly think you will like it. Please post your thoughts.

Please do try this! With soft Honda paint, I would love to hear your thoughts about this vs. IPA :xyxthumbs:.

Thanks Corey! I have a few more things to try with this that I will include in a future video but I am confident it will perform just as well. Speaking of the Griot's Pre-Wax Cleaner leaving something behind, I'm just curious if it is to prep the surface for their Best of Show? A lot of people including myself have had some application issues with Best of Show and it makes you wonder if Griot's took this into consideration when developing Pre-Wax Cleaner? Now I have something else to experiment with!

I would love to see the 5 liter make it's way to us!

*Just a note, this is in no way slamming Griot's Garage Pre-Wax Cleaner. I still think it's a great product but if you're planning to apply a coating then I highly recommend CarPro Eraser.

My sentiments as well

Richard - Fantastic review ... but I kinda like the smell of IPA :D

Anyway, my eraser stock just showed up today and I am very excited to use it this coming weekend. I don't have the Pre Wax Cleaner, but I have Griots Paint Prep to compare it to.

You also have a steady hand, nice video
