Im about to starting mobile detailing in Maryland.
I was wondering about pricing for service.
If my regular wash is $39.99 then what is sales tax %?
Also Do I need FIN to open business account?

I was actually JUST talking to two people about something similar to this. I think Maryland's sales tax is 6%. I'm pretty sure that is what you should charge. However I think it would be more appealing if you just do flat rates and then figure out how much "the man" is going to tax you (both federal and state). It was suggested that you open a separate bank account for the business and to keep all expenses separate from the start.

Will you be registering your business for an LLC? I am getting ready to do some research on registering for an LLC in Maryland, as this is where I'll be starting my side car detailing business. I was just getting ready to start a thread to see how many "side" car detailers have their business registered as an LLC.

Im assuming you are referring to opening a business account with a bank? If so, in NJ you can register a DBA with the state and that is enough to open up a business account. Not sure if the laws down there are the same though. Registering a DBA in Maryland costs $99 plus $25 filing fees.

LLC means Limited Liability Corporation. It's an alternative to incorporating. Your company would be registered as "my company, LLC", instead of "my company, inc."
This is not required for business banking, but is more for your personal protection. In the case of your business causing damage to someone or something, and getting sued, they can only sue the business, and hopefully insulating your personal wealth, house, personal belongings, other business you may own, etc.
