New Product: Meguiar's Pad Washer!

We have discussed this before on other plastic products, like the storage bins we all have...it's what the market will bear, what it's worth to be "organized". I have two words for you, Benjamin....PLASTICS.

Mrs. Robinson?

yea the price on these things is just dumb..you got a $10 bucket and thats expensive can get same bucket at lowes for 2.49..and a $10 gritguard..so why is it another $120 ontop of that..These things should be 50bucks top.

I have to find that disc, I looked up that quote but it's not quite the way I remembered it.

I think it's overpriced, too, but there's a lot more in there than a bucket and a grit guard. It's got springs and plungers and that guard on the top.

ok add 10bucks more for some springs and PVC..hell most people could make these things for under 30bucks i bet

I bought mine on Ivan's sale (GGUPW for 99? bucks) and I agree with most people that it shouldn't be expensive BUT, should've thought of this idea if you wanted it to be cheaper.

That's my take on it.

The most complicated thing in it is pumps that spray the solution into the pad. Someone could probably make these for MUCH cheaper but when you buy it your paying for convenience. YOU don't have to track down the materials and make it. And for me at least, I don't think I could make one to near the quality. If I made one it would be pretty janky. So even though it can be done, your paying for the fact that it's already made FOR you.

I personally don't care if it is a "re-branded" product. It's a great idea and a great product and I'm glad Megs has added it, like the Grit guards, to their product line.

At the local Barrett-Jackson show the Megs folks were out of their G110 DA buffers. They were demonstrating (and selling) their Microfiber DA system. so as a "customer convenience" they were selling PC7424xp's to go with their MF DA system. This way the customer had what they needed to go home and get the job done. I actually thought that was pretty kewl.

IMHO the Megs folks are good peeps.

I buff my car like twice a year..I have no use to spend money on a pad washer or even the little it would be to make one..I just wash by hand for 5min and done..do a search someone on here already made one with a bucket cut in half and a grit guard.
