Last week I was sought out by forum member mye93 to detail his BMW. I was able to get the vehicle detailed and make the owner happy. Lyndon is a member of Autopiaforums.com

These hard top convertables are super sweet! I really like them alot. Its a smaller car, but very roomy and very sporty.

Thanks to all of you who recommended me to Lyndon. He is a really nice guy and really loves his car. Here is the video of the detail.

I don't have 9 minutes right now, but will check it out later Garry

Good job Garry. Can you tell me what you used on the seat belt straps? I've got the exact colour in my car and noticed they look kind of grimy too and not sure what to use on it. Thanks.

I used Megs APC+ @ 20:1, but they didnt come completely clean. They needed to be removed and soaked, but the budget wasnt there.

Thanks I'll try with optimum power clean then. Tried using Dove before and it didn't make any difference. Yeah too much trouble to remove and reinsert.

If the soiling is on the exterior of the fabric opc may work, but if there are saturated patches you are probably out of luck unless you can remove them from the car and soak them.

Probably out of luck then, I used Dove detergent which I think is fairly strong and couldn't get it out. Yeah the tan colour interiors get like that but then the black interior heats up like crazy in the summer so either way there are negatives.

Great work Garry, really enjoy the movies! I would not have touched that front bumper either. I'm sure its been asked before, but what's your process on carpets?

looks great as always garry, question for ya are you diluting the megs hyper dressing? if so what dilution. also, what is your method to get in between the pipes with ease?

Well, I do own an extractor, but sometimes its not needed. Extractors work well for heavily saturated carpets for sucking up drink spills and the such, but this one had just medium soil in the fibers with very little soaked in grime. I used the spray, scrub, wipe method on this one.

Thanks! I keep my hd mixed 3:1. I put some metal polish on a microfiber and slide the towel between the pipes and pull on each end of the towel putting force on the inside of one at a time until its clean and shiny.

Hey Garry

Great work! Its crazy how i have a lot of the products you mentioned but i dont get the same results as you.

Whats the process for uttp ? I tried it on my moms car yesterday and i doesnt look half as black as those mirror bases, however it rained all day today and i'm loving how well it repells water. Would you mind sharing the ratio for the apc+ for the engine bay ? I used the hyper dressing on some exterior trim and with a bit of water it goes away pretty easy! What was the total time ?

Thanks!

Great job as always Garry. I have a hardtop convertible M3 to do when I get time. Unfortunately, it is dark blue and I'm afraid a one step might not get it. Thanks for all the sharing you do of your skills.

Looks very good. You brought it back from the dull and dingy...

Tom
