Is it possible to overlap Car Pro's CQuarts over the top of Collinite Insulator Wax? I have come to a point where I have so many cars to work on that I don't have time to do my own, and need all of the protection I can get until I do have time to work on it.

No, CQ has to be applied to perfectly clean/bare paint or else it won't bond.

NO! Fact is you even need to wipe the paint down after polishing to make sure you have the cleanest paint possible for bonding of the CQuartz. You could do it the other way and top CQuartz after it cured with 845 but I would not know why you would being as CQ will last up to two years!

The final outcome has allot to do with proper preparation of the finish. These new hard coatings will seal in what wasn't corrected or removed.

Another caution:
CQuartz has "about" a 6 month shelf life before it congeals and goes solid on you....

This reason alone is why I am making the switch over to OC/OG for all the services I offer.

Carpro says 6 months but I think that is a cya so people will use it fresh. In reality probably more than a year. I have a bottle that's a year old that is still liquid. I'm not saying you shouldn't follow the 6 months that they tell you to be safe but just FYI.

Op, you must remove ALL oils from the surface before applying CQ (or OC for that matter) if you want the promised durability.

I hear you Bobby. If you wait a year and it's dry though don't kick my donkey please! To be safe I would use it ASAP if nearing the 6 month mark since that is the written shelf life. Oh, I keep mine in the house in the 70's as well.

I believe Opticoat is unlimited shelf life assuming it doesn't come into contact with air.
