Tire Dressings....

I use Tufshine Tire Clearcoat for DD and Opti-bond Gel for garage queens. You can make your own decision on how shiny you want the Tufshine to be depending on how many layers you put on it. The durability is easily 1 month plus and it makes the tires soooooo easy to clean. A pressure washer just removes all of the dirt that gets collected on it. The durability on the Opti-bond is about 2 weeks + depending on how much the car is driven and how much rain.

Finish Kare 108 nice matte look will last 3 weeks with no rain
Opti Bond used neat applied with a foam pad lasted 2 weeks
Currently testing Wolf Chemicals Tire and Trim so far I like it a lot has been on for only 3 days but went through a down poor on my way home and its holding up great the 200 miles on it so far

Wheel Wax Extreme Black, I find that it lasts 3+ weeks easily. Of course I do live in the desert so rain is a rarity. Of all the dressings I've used I like this one the best. It smells good, looks good, and its water based. :dblthumb2:

anyone know if you can dilute Griot's tire dressing? - seems thick...

Not to hijack this thread, but what's best to actually clean tires with?

I've got some PERL on the way that I'm going to try using based on CEE DOGs review, but I'm not sure what's best to clean them with.

Opti-Bond is my go to tire dressing. Durability its a couple weeks depending on rain ect.

Just bought a Dryshine kit. It's suppose to have basically the same characteristics as the tuff shine kit, with durability for months to a year.

Let me know how that DryShine works. I just looked into it, it seems pretty cool. Just wonder how it looks

I too have tried many tire dressings. But the ones below are my favorite.

Poorboy's BnB is a great product and when I'm in a hurry to grab something that I know is going to look nice and not sling this is what I grab. And a bottle last forever, I have a 32oz bottle I have been working on for 4 years (but it's about gone).

Adam's SVRT, a very nice product but very similar to BnB but maybe with a little more longevity. BnB is more liquid than the Adam's.

Chemical Guys VRP to me is about the same product as Adam's SVRT but cost quit a lot less than the SVRT. I have a large bottle of SVRT but when it's gone I'll replace it with VRP.

PERL is becoming my favorite at the moment. It has a different look and feel than the Adam's and CG stuff. Once it dries it definitely leaves a slick feel to the tires. It's not as shiny to me but does have a good look and seems to really hold up well.

All of these have a little shine but but they all loose a lot of their sheen after a drive or two but retain the blackness.

Was using Pinnacle Black Onyx, but using Blackfire Tire Gel. I like it too!

I like the Blackfire. Nice shine to the tires. Good durablity about two weeks.

i use to use megs hot shine until i ran out, and then tryed autoglym bumper care as i had it on the shelf. the megs lasted about 1 week where the bumper care lasts about 3-4 weeks and give a nice clean matt finish, cleans off easy with a scrub and pressure washer, and no sling. will probably use this from now on.

My favorite tire dressing is Pinnacle Black Onyx tire gel. It doesn't seem to have any sling but only last about 1.5-2 weeks. As Corey stated, it all depends on the weather conditions. I am currently trying out Opti Bond but I think I still like the Black Onyx. Opti Bond seems to have some sling on it. Maybe I'm trippin but yeah...it seems like it has some sling.

If Opti Bond slings, you are using too much. If anything Black Onyx is a slinger. Of course IMO.

Im almost out of my TW wet and black. Nice stuff suprisingly.

Not high gloss despite what the bottle says. More of a low sheen matte that lasts for several weeks.

I wanna try something with a little more shine this time around. Any recommendations?
