Mercedes-Benz Taxis in Germany

Max was telling me how almost all the Taxis in Germany are Mercedes-Benz C-class cars and he's right. I took a few pictures outside one of the restaurants we ate at just to show that one after another, the taxis that show up are in fact pretty much all Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Bob told me the taxi cab drivers didn't look like they liked me taking their pictures so I stopped as my police buddies weren't around to safe me.

I can't tell you how nice it was to get back to the office and drive my truck... as in be the guy behind the steering wheel, not the guy in the back seat clinging on for dear life.

I took this picture with my iPhone after returning to the office after our plane flight in from Orlando. I was so happy to be safe back at the Autogeek office. That's the neon Autogeek sign in the background and the top of the roll bar on my truck as I parked under the sign when I took this picture for my Facebook page.

Hi Mike, what were you doing in Stuttgart (business or pleasure).
If pleasure i hope you got to go to the Porsche and Mercedes museums!!!

If i had known it would have been nice to meet up!

Oh and they are E class not C class ;)

I think I mentioned this in another thread recently, but I know someone whose father worked for an international co. and as a result, as a child he lived various places around the world (other than coming home to the US during the summer) until Jr. High. He couldn't understand the fascination and mystique around Mercedes-Benz here in the US, because he said everywhere else he had lived they used them for taxicabs...what car guy aspires to drive what they use for taxis?

So I guess the question is what are the cars that people think are cool in Germany? Chevys? Do M-B's get looked down on because they are cabs?

Leave it to me to use the wrong letter... that's what you get from a Chevy guy...

Looks like those taxi's could have used some time in the Thursday night Autogeek garage.

Looks like the Taxi headlights could use a little attention.

I have a friend that was just over in Europe and was commenting about the same thing, taxis were 7 series BMW's and Mercedes, what a shock compared to what we get in the states.

I can't imagine anyone over there being jealous of our crown vics/ mini vans haha.
