Where are the new products?

How does one get to test for Optimum?

Send me a check.

So what's the cut of "that old thing", Chris? And is the glaze portion something like DWG? When I say "like", I mean similar but a lot better, of course :p

Is it going to replace Poli-Seal, and is there going to be a lotion version of GPS?

Poliseal remains. GPS is the spray version with minor enhancements. It works with all pads including the new MF ones. It doesn't clog foam as much when over applied....but you should know by now that less is more with out line. The spray pattern is not perfect, nor did we intend it to be for this product but the spray application saves a considerable amount of time as you work your way around the car.

Somebody help me here. Is this new or old?

It's new...just debuted at SEMA. Mark and I were able to get it prerelease because we tested it.

I agree Jim!

Seemed to be slower than expected

Oh my! I hadn't seen this yet Chris Im the MAN

Richy, what is the thing you are talking about?

I'll have it on the Optimum forum this weekend, AG should stock it soon.

Agreed, Meg's blew their load on the "revolutionary" MF pad system. From my perspective it looks like Optimum may be doing things a little better than Megs...you know...waiting until their products work perfectly before releasing them...;)

We are certainly trying our best. There has been a slight setback with materials so the MF cutting pads will be a couple more weeks than projected. We're now hoping to stock them by end of the month.

But there is no mention of it on the Optimum website. I have only seen it talked about on this forum.

We debuted it at the SEMA trade show, when I get home from Vegas, I will add a subforum with descriptive info and add it to the store. I would have put it up before I left, but didn't have permission and I've been a little busy during the show...but I'll get it up soon I promise.

True, but even at that, Meguiar's didn't do as well this year as they've done in years past... probably because nothing they've introduced is groundbreaking. Either way, I'm sure we'll know more next week once everyone is settled back in.

:props:

You don't say...a few posters in this thread will be shocked at that tidbit!

I bet you have a few friends who know nothing about detailing/shows who were saying "woo hoo, Vegas!" and really have no idea that trade shows are work.

You've obviously never worked a trade show.

I worked a small local trade show years ago. It was a total pain in the ass. I can't imagine how much work a show like SEMA would be.

My comment was just in jest.

Sorry. Work trips are never the "vacations" your friends make them out to be :p

I have had the opportunity to test their new "Fine Grade" Autoscrub pad which will be available mid May 2012 for New vehicle and black car prep and it works awesome!.......Absolutely no marring!
