So I'm an idiot, my Escape is stuck in park. Last night I was playing with my products in the garage and had the radio on. I ended up draining the battery so I figured I would jump it in the morning no biggy right? Well I needed to move the vehicle out of the driveway. My plan was to put it in neutral and coast it down the driveway and park it on the side. It's uphill and when I went to put it in park I didn't hit the break. So now all the weight of the car is on the parking break. Tried to hit the release button, didnt work. The shifter is stuck and I tried the rocking back and fourth method, that also didnt work because It's uphill and I don't have enough power to push it back up further to release the pressure. I called a buddy of mine, he's going to be here later with his truck and some chains. My plan is to pull the vehicle uphill with his truck and try to disengage it that way.
Anyone think this would work? Could I try something else? Google says check the fuses, but I know it's not the fuse.
