Last weekend, I used Megs Micro system on my truck(Black GMC Sierra Denali) and everything turn out fine. But after I did it and a little reading on here, people say that the D151 part of the system is an aio and have little protection. So I have some 845 on the way. Can I just top whats already on it with 845? Or should I use a cleaner wax to strip the D151 off and start from there?
Btw, I do have some DP Poli-Coat around here somewhere that I can put on first before the 845.Feed back please

(scratching head) D151 isn't part of the Meg's MF DA system. The AIO portion is D301...so is that what you used, or did you actually use D151? IMO you can just go right over the top of either with your 845 (just make sure the car is clean/freshly washed), but plenty of members are going to follow me and tell you to strip it.

You were thinking about D151! It's ok, it's a similar product from the same company. As far as your Poli-Coat question, conventional wisdom would say since the D301 purportedly has some wax in it (along with a sealant), you would need to strip the D301 prior to the Poli-Coat sealant, but the Poli-Coat purportedly has a bonding agent in it...so perhaps you could go right over the 301 then top with 845. But I've never used Poli-Coat so don't listen to me!

As long as the surface is clean go right to your topper. If it's been a few days to a week then either wipe the surface clean or wash the car then apply the topper.

The DP Poli-Coat is a long lasting sealant, you could use it in place of the Collinite 845 or apply the 845 over it.

At some time you hit the point of diminishing returns in that an automotive paint coating can only hold so much product before all you're doing is applying and then removing a product.
