How many of you have been to Hong Kong before?
Send me a PM before you come man~
I took these on 10/10/2010 - the National Day of China. The harbour is called Victoria Harbour. Some of the photos have been soft focused when I took them (not by Photoshop).
Fireworks photography is probably one of my favorite things! I'll put that on Hong Kong on my bucket list![]()
Great photo!rops:
What setting did you use to get this?
Thanks
IMO this photo is the combination of Luck, Luck and Luck.
You need a steady wind that is not too fast so that the smoke of fireworks can be blown away but the shape can be retained.
If you do not have wind, all smoke will be there and you get a photo will a lot of haze.
For the settings I usually use Manual mode for taking photos of fireworks, ISO 100, F8-F11, shutter of around 5s. The settings varies because different fireworks have different brightness (aperture) and different time duration (shutter). I was using 70-200 F2.8L IS USM lens for this shot as I was shooting from a far away position.
Even you got the best tools and settings, you need luck to get a good fireworks shape in your photo man!
