Fuzion vs Blackfire Midnight Sun

Both are easy to apply and remove...

Even though we applied the Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax by machine, it's just as easy to apply and remove by hand...

Here's Tasha using a Gold Wax Finger Pocket to spin over the top of the wax, which liquefies it so it will seep into the foam...

Then gently spread the wax out over the paint...

Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax can be removed immediately after you apply it, there's no need to let it dry...

Always fold your microfiber towel 4-ways to provide cushion between the paint and your hand pressure and to also give you 8 sides to wipe with...

Blackfire car care products create a deep, wet shine that everyone loves, especially on dark colors like black...

Wolfgang Füzion is also super easy to apply by hand...

Midnight Sun has BFWD polymers in it.

They both have good durability for wax ime but I found the Wolfgang to last a bit longer. I was theorizing that the polymers in Fuzion are outlasting the polymers in BFMS. Then again I haven't tested them side by side in a controlled test that experienced the same weather on the same car at the same time.... But in separate tests the Fuzion was more hydrophobic for a longer period of time. I never tested either all the way to the point of death.

I like the Midnight Sun. Easy to use. Must apply thin. Nice topper for Wet Diamond. I like the Fuzion better. Little easier to apply. Also tops great with Wet Diamond. Looks better on Black and Metalic Black which is what colors When I had the White car the BFMS wa great. I find Fuzion much better on Black. I like Souverin the best for Black. Easy on Easy off. Ripple like Shine.

People here still worry about durability??? :) Does durability really matter that much, when most of you are like me where we wax at least 2x a month???? lol... IMO, just go with what you think looks the best. In my lifetime, I will never go through one jar of an LSP. Ever. It's an addiction, like owning diff't shoes.

Ain't that the truth? If I lived to be 100, I couldn't use up all the products I bought. I could probably wax every car in the state once or twice.

I agree for personal vehicles but I also have to worry about customer's vehicles where durability is an issue in some cases.

Jim... good point... good point. My apologies. I forget that for our businesses, we must look at long term benefits and customer retention. I'd be pissed if I paid a detailer 300 bucks or more for a wax job that stopped beading after 2 rain falls :(

Yes, in that case, durability AND looks are key, when it comes to detailing businesses.

I don't worry about durability with a wax like these for my garage queen but durability is one of many attributes and may be important to some. I was only noting my experience. If one sheets better or looks glossier than the other after a few weeks and someone has a lot on their plate and can't wax that often I expect it matters to them. Of course waxing someone's vehicle that is driving off with it its good to know how long they can expect to go before needing another wax.

I think they all look great once polished properly.

Sportscarhiatus-

I must admit I am not a fan of blue cars and mustangs. But you have an absolutely beautiful car. I'm sure there are other nice ones on here but for whatever reason your car looks amazing!

What have you used on it?

I have a white car and a black car. I think I need both.

Blackfire for the White.

And Fuzion for the Black.

THANKS FOR ALL THE KNOWLEDGE. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL!!!

Durability probably doesn't matter cause I will probably apply them every month. Easy On, Easy Off and Good Looks is all I care about!

What are your top 4 in order?

I honestly couldn't put them in order but it's these two along with PB Nattys blue and SV concorso all for different reasons and situations. If price was factored in it would be PB Nattys blue and midnight sun. I would not have ever and will probably never pay the price it would cost for SV concorso but luckily I have a very good friend who shared some with me.

:laughing::laughing::laughing:
You had to see this coming buddy...

PS: I bet I know what they are, and I'm guessing the other two are a bit more pricy...:D

ROFL Tadman!! I bet I threw you a curveball! Yes, the Vintage is amazing as well but the sweating like a pig keeps it out of my top 4.

And of course price which I didn't have to factor in :urtheman:

Corey... been a while. How you been?

Yes, I agree... durability matters when I am doing other people's cars. For me personally though, if it lasts a week, I am happy :props: lol

Thanks man! Yeah, it's 99% swirl/marr free. :props: Virgin paint from the dealer. I didn't have to buff it at all...lol :buffing: So far, all that's "on" it is ONR/Pinnacle for a wash, FK425 for dry, then Souveran.

Might I suggest something different? My favorite all-around is Supernatural. The look it has is like a Souveran Sealant... best way to explain. It looks especially good on white paint (as well as dark). When I had my Pearl White Z, that was all I used on it (sealant underneath was Jetseal, if that matters to you).

Another combo you can use is Sig Series II for whites, and Souveran for black.

Here is a photo showing my pearl white paint Z when I put Supernatural on it... I loved that topper.

Both cars look fantastic.... Did you ever use Fuzion on the white? If so, how does it compare? Easy on and Easy off? That picture is pretty convincing to get supernatural.

No I did not. Fuzion is more for darker colors. It's like souveran, but with a little more sealant properties (both looks and durability)

You sound like me and we're both Mustang people. What a coincidence.

No one has mentioned that Fuzion seems to attract a whole lot less dust than most nubas. For me in SoCal, this is a bigger deal than water repellence. It looks fantastic and it lasts for a long time (for a nuba). I can get over 2 months in the GT-R which is garaged, and over a month on the Q5 which is outside 24/7. I'm actually pretty sure that I could get more than 2 months on the GT-R but I switch up or reapply LSPs frequently. It's like a disease...

haha. Indeed. I need to post more pics, but Photobucket is down :(

:woot: Doing very well!! Sorry I missed this until now. :( How have you been making out?

By the way... Z looks AMAZING!!!! Im the MAN

Corey... it DEFINITELY has been a while. LOL. You know I haven't had my Z for a while now right? A year pretty much.

All I have for now is this pic...hdr, sorry. I'd post more of the regular pics, but photobucket is down :(
