It's directions list several things that you shouldn't get it on and says to mask these areas off. I'm not sure I'd want to soak the whole car down that way with this stuff.

hopefully avi can catch this thread,i thought i read somewhere that ag needs to update that part on what is safe and not safe

I just pulled my IXSG and it does say"Don't dilute with water"as well.Maybe it looses it performance doing so.
Ive only used mine as it's intended purposes(vehicle paint)but I'm curious what area's it's NOT suppose to be used for as my bottle list nothing of the mention.

This is a copy and paste from AG's page selling this:

"Note: Iron X Soap Gel should not be used on chrome, bare metal parts, brake calipers, wheel balancing weights, or SMART paint repairs. Mask off these areas. Avoid letting Iron X Soap Gel dry on any surface."

Well, I know carpro is currently reformulating it to make it useful in a foam cannon as well. That doesn't mean you can't use it that way now but I haven't tried it. I'm not saying you can or can't... Just that I haven't tested the ix soap gel yet.

I wonder if/what is different about the soap compared to regular IronX. You can use regular IronX on wheel wights and brake calipers. It just turns the weights green but that scrubs right off. AVI even said that it wouldn't harm them.
