Yea! :D

I kinda meant more accurate to shoot after I zero'd it in after installing the laser! Compensated for wind a bit!

Using iron sights is just too slow now! Best thing I like about the laser is that one can virtually shoot in any position as long as one is compensating for the recoil! :D

Also the laser is green, so it 'paints' the target much better and is bright enough to see in full daylight and really awesome in complete darkness when iron sights are pretty much useless.

Only downside is that, the laser can be easily tracked to its source! lol
 
Getting a Kimber Custom II pretty soon, might be able to get a carry permit for Kalifornia with my connections but not sure yet.

As for right now my everyday carry are my left and right arms :props:

Lasers are nice, but if those fail it is good to get used to your iron sights.
 
Colt Combat Elite and Colt Lightweight Commander in, what else?....45ACP! Both were sent to Novak's for modifications that enhanced them beyond what the factory did.

I'm a former Federal law enforcement officer and instructor in handgun, shotgun, submachine gun, tactics and safety. I'm an NRA Distinguished Expert and have also trained with one of the pre-emminent firearms and tactics instructors ever...Chuck Taylor. He's a great guy to know and receive instruction from.

It makes your weapon a lot more accurate if you consider that in low light or no light, iron sights are useless and even night sights can be testing. I am a big fan of the Crimson Trace Grips, we have several pair installed on different pistols/revolvers.

No you wouldn't want to try to be "tactical" with them because the act of holding the gun turns them on and shows someone where you are. But generally speaking, pistols are for self defense and fighting your way back to your rifle.

But it doesn't change the accuracy of the firearm. It allows the shooter to be more accurate, but the gun is unchanged.

Technically speaking, you are right. However, it doesn't matter how accurate the firearm is if you cannot use it to hit the target. Once you take the firearm out of the sled, your accuracy with the firearm trumps the firearm's accuracy.

I agree, most agencies want their off duty to wear concealed for self and others preservation. I carry or have close to me my Colt Commander 1911 .45acp. I have an IWB holster and wear bigger pants and long shirts, can't even tell. My GF has her XD .40 on stand by.....She's a good shot too! I told her my only chance is to draw faster! LOL.

:wow: I can't believe what you guys can get over there, here in Australia we have "strict" gun laws for law abiding citizens. My brother has recently been through a 6 month ordeal trying to get his gun licence, which he now has so hopefully in the new year we can go hunting.

Criminals here on the other hand seem to be able to get what ever sort of guns they want and some how always seem to get away with it.

Oh and if you get caught carrying a knife here in South Australia you can be looking at up to 2 years prison.

wow! even a knife ? lol..... on Brazil we would have to arrest most people from some parts of the country...... :laughing:

Here in Pa, it's easy to get a carry permit. They recently passed what's called "castle doctrine" which gives permitted carriers a lot more protection from legal retaliation if they actually have to use their weapon to defend themselves or even someone else from attack, whether at home or out in public.

FWIW, Glock 30 IWB or Ruger SP101 .357 in a pocket holster, season depending...

Castle doctrine allows you to shoot and take deadly action without retreating In your own house. Basically if an intruder is in your house...he can be gunned downed and you're perfectly in the right...even if he doesn't have a weapon.

That doesn't stand in public, at least it doesn't in Ohio
