I would think this is quite dangerous - unless you are SURE you have rinsed out all the pad cleaner before applying more polish and continuing to use the pad. leaving a solvent in/on the pad with the polish probably doesn't do good things for it's application, depending on the product.

Mike's recommendation is a terrycloth towel for DA polishers - check out the "cleaning on the fly" write up he did.

When I am finished with my pad for the day, I use 4-5 sprays of the XMT cleaner and let it sit for about two minutes. Then I use a garden hose and a fingernail brush to clean the pad before rinsing, squeezing out and allowing them to air dry.
 
Just picked up some on the BOGO. I gotta stay away from this website. Getting all my money.
 
I used my cleaner tonight to clean 3 LC pads, a yellow foam applicator and an Adam's Americana applicator (love those, but wow how costly they are). Worked great. I just wish the pads would dry faster. I'll be glad when my pad order comes in on Tuesday, then I'll have plenty of pads (AG's LC sale was great, I ordered plenty).
 
If you wring the pad out - they dry fast in a hour or two. A small fan or heater to speed things up. The more water you remove, the faster it is going to dry.
 
What i like to do after cleaning my pads is wring them out, then put them on the DA on speed 6(make sure theyre on there good) and turn it on for a few seconds. It spins most of the water right out of the pads. For hand applicators i dont really have any suggestsions tho.

great review, I have been using this stuff since the summer on my pads and its wonderful. It works as advertised and has saved me numerous pads :)

Thats a quick way to get the pads to come apart from the velcro backing. If you want to dry them with a machine, use a rotary. Wet pads + da action = destruction.

IMO....It's an excellent product that does what it says it will do.

Also....I can be a witness, if need be, to the effect that, having a lot of pads/pad choices will relieve most of the anxiety caused by the: Wish the pads would dry faster syndrome. :laughing:
