I've had some nattys blue since 2005. It's been in the original container and out of the sun. It's in my garage which gets pretty cold in the winters.

Is it still good? I bought some nattys red a month ago and will use that mostly in the upcoming months but if I can use the blue, that'll keep me from wasting it ;)

no it's bad

just send it my way, I'll get rid of it for you

I bought my Natty's Blue in 2006, It's still about 1/2 full and I still use it. I keep mine in the garage too. If it looks and smells good then it should be fine. I use the Blue for everything from the lawn mower, power meter box, and the water heater. That's the biggest problem with most of the products I buy, they last too darn long....I can never use them all up.

almost all hard waxes will remain good if kept in a cool dark place without extreme heating cycles(really hot to really cold) when that happens it can turn to something like pudding depending on the wax. people are still using meguiars mirror glaze #16 and some cans are 10+ years old and are perfectly fine.but in short yes its good.

Most is not all paste waxes will remain good almost indefinitely, at least from what I've seen personally.

Many liquid products tend to conform to this statement as well providing they've been kept from repeated freezing's. I have lost liquid products through the years due to freezing but since I've started bringing all my products inside during the winter months I've lost not a one...

I keep almost all my chemicals (certainly the ones I won't use up fast) inside in a dedicated room. Like Bobby said extreme temps. Anyway inside stays between 70-75 year round. No problem from any product yet.

Thanks guys! It's really good to know that the purchases made can last such a long time.

I have Natty's at home--all always stored inside--and it looks like it separated. Almost looks a little like cottage cheese maybe? Is this normal and something a quick shake will remedy?

 Hmm never heard of that before. Is it liquid or solid chunks?

If anything you could always melt it down and re-pour it

As far as older waxes the Nattys will usually have a slight whitish look on the top of them just rub around and they will look right like the day they were purchased

It's the Natty's Paste Wax, 8oz. jar. It's almost as if it separates into both a little bit of liquid and some small chunks. I'll take a look at it tonight. It's always stored indoors so it should look like it did last time I opened it. A good shaking took care of a lot of it, but not all and it would still want to spread small chunks. I'll take a pic.

Don't worry.

Hard waxes will outlive the roaches.

Put it in a 1 Million Year Time Capsule and the finder will be able to polish his Galaxy Flyer LTD II.

Okay :xyxthumbs:

Really? This goes for the pastes too and not just liquids?

:xyxthumbs:

Absolutely just use a double boiler throw it in melt it down and re-pour into container

(It can be done with our waxes. Don't know about other manufacturers but I would say its a safe bet it can be done with them as well. After all they are hot poured.)

Interesting :) Thanks!

yep melt it in double boiler and repour, let it cool naturally, its what alot of people need to do when they purchase some meguiars m16 one of my cans was perfect other you could tell it got hot and cooled down, i just cover the wax(not air tight) to keep in as much solvent as possible.
