I want one. I wonder if you could get a similar but less convenient effect by using the tornador blow gun in one hand and the shop vac in the other right next to it.

That is simply amazing. No longer will one have to tornador then vacuum in two separate steps. IMO this is as innovative as the MF system, and I want one!

Just dropped $200 on the Tornador Black. Now, I have to do another $200 for the X-017 vacuum attachment. Just keeps getting better.

Well, my Tornador arrived and my new air compressor was just a few minutes behind it. I have it doing its Break in right now. That thing is a monster.

What air compressor did you go with?

I got the Sears Craftsman Professional 27 gallon, 1.9 hp, 150 psi with 7.2 SCFM at 40 and 5.8 at 90. It is a monster but a lot quieter than my old oil less

Hows the Tornador black? Im on the fence about getting one. I have the original and like it but can't justify $200 for a new one unless it blows the old one out of the water.

I don't have the Classic. I spent a good bit of time today with the Black. I seems to work well but I'm not sure it would be that much better than the original. What I used it on today was not real dirty. I really want to see how it does on dirty carpet or upholstery. For someone who does not have a Tornador, I would probably recommend the extra money for the Black. Whether it is worth $200 when you have the Classic, hard to say.

How long were you able to work with your current setup? looking at the husky 33 gallon compressor setup and appears it will work with the black.

I set the line pressure between 90 and 100 psi and every time, I checked, it was holding at that pressure. I haven't tried letting the tank fill all the way before I start to see how long before the compressor kicks in. I'm too impatient for that. I also have leaks at some connections. But, I don't seem to have any power issues. I will try today with the Tornador blow gun which has requirements more like the Classic.

I have worked for a few different car dealers who invested in these (both styles) and they do have their uses, but other than the occassional dirty headliner or deck lid cover they arent really a frequently used item....i guess i just like the old way or im not totally sold on these...gimme a brush, cleaner and an air hose any day of the week

I hear you. There is little you cannot do with cleaner, a brush and a blow gun. That's basically what the Tornador is but all in one. Also, I am using a small fraction of the cleaner I was using with the brush method. I have found the Tornador to be a little like my steamer. It does a few tasks very well but if you start looking, you find all sorts of uses for it. Bottom line is I'm a gadget nut. I like to try all the new tools and products. If you are doing this for a living, you have to use the most efficient and cost effective methods.

I'm all about getting the job dine quicker and more cost efficiently. Granted you do save both money by using less product, and time by bring able to do the job quicker so your per hour pay goes up. However, as with any tool purchase you have to think about how much money you are saving vs the purchase cost

if you detail for a living then yesits a great tool to have. I can get interiors/headliners done way quicker. For the weekend worrier crowd its probably not worth it.

I use mine about 3 times a week. You do find other uses for it as well.the tornador classic seems to be fine if you have the correct compressor. If love to see how smallFeed back please a compressor could successfully runFeed back please the black version.
