Guy brought by a 2000 something Civic with a 4"-6" scratch on the door of the glove compartment. Can anything been done about it? It's basically a scratch, I'll get a pic up if necessary.

The material is dark gray plastic? It's a Honda Civic, not top of the line Civic- more of an entry level Civic.

!Warning! the following suggestions are more ghetto than lil Wayne....

Solution 1: Heat up the surface of the scratch with a heat gun or hair dryer. Be careful not to overheat. You just want to get it a little malleable. Using your finger push on the scratch and blend it back in with the surrounding surface.

Solution 2: Find a Sharpie that matches the color of the plastic and clean the area well. Then apply the sharpie in small(very small) dots and rub it in with your finger.

If you try either of these, especially solution 1, please use extreme caution.
