:dblthumb2: Thanks man! It was a lot of work!with the way the hood looked before, and after your work, anything is possible on restoring paint lol
Thank you!!! Yeah it's bitter sweet when your paint is rock hard. Tough to correct, but usually tough to swirl too. :buffing:WOW!!That paint is dripping wet!!
Really a great save!!All the reflection shots are perfect!! :xyxthumbs:
Oddly enough I was refinishing some repainted panels on my car and the paint was really rock hard!!!
Wool pad and m105 did nothing!! Had to powergloss the thing after 3000grit sanding!!
Part of me was like, 'yay' the paint is hard(scratch resistance) but it was a nightmare to correct!!![]()
Thank you! I used the Meguiars sanding block and wrapped the paper around it after letting each sheet soak in a bucket for a few hours.Dude - that's amazing. How did you do the wet sanding? Do you wrap the paper around one of those foam sanding blocks from Lowes, or do you just fold up the paper? I know nothing about wet sanding. Other than you're sanding with wet super-fine sandpaper.![]()
Thanks Stang Man! The customer was very happy to have the vehicle looking this good! That car looks amazing after you got done with it!
How did the customer react? I hope they noticed the difference- if not they need their eyes checked!
