There are just not enough O's in WOW! Man what a difference in the before and after shots, that gloss is truly amazing!! :dblthumb2:
 
Great turn around, those 50/50 shots are impressive.

Love this body style M3.
 
with the way the hood looked before, and after your work, anything is possible on restoring paint lol
 
nice pics you got a good camera there !! i wish i can take my pics to look this good lol. I just point and shoot with a regular cam . what camera are you using?

Oddly enough I was refinishing some repainted panels on my car and the paint was really rock hard!!!

Wool pad and m105 did nothing!! Had to powergloss the thing after 3000grit sanding!!

Part of me was like, 'yay' the paint is hard(scratch resistance) but it was a nightmare to correct!! :eek:

Thank you!!! Yeah it's bitter sweet when your paint is rock hard. Tough to correct, but usually tough to swirl too. :buffing:
 
Dude - that's amazing. How did you do the wet sanding? Do you wrap the paper around one of those foam sanding blocks from Lowes, or do you just fold up the paper? I know nothing about wet sanding. Other than you're sanding with wet super-fine sandpaper. :)

Thank you! I used the Meguiars sanding block and wrapped the paper around it after letting each sheet soak in a bucket for a few hours.

How did the customer react? I hope they noticed the difference- if not they need their eyes checked!
 
Nice save!! I saw the hood and for a sec I thought it was Matte wrapped or something lol.
