UPS Steps it Up!

Glad to hear everything inside was fine. I guess I am lucky and have a very caring UPS man. He always takes fine care of the packages that get delivered and is a very friendly man himself. Wish every UPS man was like mine!

Damn that sucks.

My UPS guys are pretty good with handling. Lately I've been gettin them in the morning too, most of the times I get my packages late in the night time.

While I can't be 100% sure I'm willing to bet this occurred somewhere in one of the transfer hubs but what I am surprised at how it was delivered with no damaged package information.

If it is packaged properly - UPS should be able to throw it around without breaking anything.

That's nothing! Look how I got my new clutch assembly....

My lil quote:
"Don't use UPS when shipping, because brown is the color of poo"

........ I would like to be in a union gig someday as a Police Officer

I will make a correction ....... seems as the lower level people in unions are a bit lax :nomore:

I can't tell you how many times I have heard "I can't get fired because I'm in a union worst they can do is put me on a desk job for a couple of weeks"

(this is in the emergency service field mind you)

Being a union employee all i can say is we dont all START OUT like that but its hard to bust your a$$ making the same money as the guys that have been around a while when they are standing there doing nothing... so MOST of us do enough to get by... i do the best i can without giving anyone reason to shovel more on my plate.... but to throw around packages and other peoples belongings.... or not pride yourself on being the best in emergency situations (as a Marine vet) i find that disgusting.

UPS is completely worthless. I can't count how many golf clubs they have destroyed over the years. I refuse to use them for anything anymore.

Oh come on, Chris. Don't start with that "all unions are bad and all union employees are bad" bull. :nomore:

It has nothing to do with Unions at all....it has all to do with people...period....especially with the younger generation. I'm 31 and even with my generation I see people who want things handed to them....they feel like society owes them something without them having to put in work. There's no more pride in the work. We live in a very lazy society where people have the "I ain't doin chit" and "it ain't my fault" attitude....and honestly I blame the parents and the adults that were in their life. Forget about the idea of "it takes a village to raise a child." That's long gone. But I digress.

I know what you are talking about ... very fair statement.

TY for you service

Yea, I've been able to see more things in my 21 years on this earth than most people see in their lifetime. Being involved in the FD, EMS, and working hand in hand with the PD I've seen enough dead bodies, trauma, pain and helplessness for probably 4 regular peoples lifetime. I've held many peoples lives in my hands and I've brought some back and lost some to the Lord. I've got the strength and determination to be the best person I can.

I was raised by a fantastic family with good values that always encouraged me to do my best. I was taught properly how to manage my money at a very early age, something many people can't do in their 40's. I bought a brand new truck when I was 17 (seinor in high school, leased for 3years then bought out last October $36,000 truck) been working everyday after school and full time in the summer since I was 15. Don't owe a dime to anybody currently.

I hope this doesn't apply to first responders

You bet it does maybe not directly with Pt. contact in the sense of performing their duty but for sure with attitude toward the pt. and for banging out sick or scamming the system

 Sorry guys :o I'm done I promise lol

Sorry to see this Bobby, it seems like it happens more and more. I personally have never had a problem with UPS or FedEx, and I know my mailman personally so he has neve thrown or kicked anything. It seems like these days the unions make everyone feel safe..I'm glad to see some people fighting back and putting video cameras up to catch these people in the act!

Feel bad for you guys that get stuff in that condition. My UPS driver is one of the most professional, kind people I have ever come into contact with.

So they aren't all bad at least!

Good that the contents weren't damaged, but just because the contents are well packed doesn't give the shipper an invitation to prove it. That particular package appears to have been caught in a conveyor jam-up. Still no excuse for not having a damaged package report though.

HOLY CRAP! Look at that. Was it OK?

Yea, it was okay fortunately.

I agree. I'm 25 and I am nothing like other lazy people of my/your generation. I call the generation after us the "Entitlement Generation" where they think life is easy and everything is given to them. Have you noticed kids these days are far less respectful too?

I don't know if it's all about how you are raised because I have a sister that is 13 and she is the absolute worst when it comes to being lazy and thinks that everything should be given to her. Nothing is ever enough and she always ungrateful when she gets something. I think my parents are a little more lax on her that they were on me, but still, I was raised by them too. I'd like to think it's just the generation and not a whole lot to do with the parents. Although, most of the time, kid's parents aren't helping the situation.

I was behind a UPS truck the other day (Semi) cuz he left his doors open and the packages were falling out! Despite me honking my horn and flashing my lights, he would not stop. I had to get on his drivers side and honk the horn to get his attention.

I could have stopped and pick up every package but he just left a store we all love. Can you guess who?

The more things change the more they stay the same. 25 years ago my 60 year old supervisor was saying the exact same thing, 20 years before that they were my grandfather's words. "Generational" observations are frequently skewed by perspective.

TL <--- perspective is all about which rock you're standing on
