Pretty new to AG I've got a couple pics to share

Very nice job! Thanks for sharing. Did you paint the calipers?

Thank you! Yes I did. I used duplicolor caliper paint kit its a brush on.
I've had good experiences with it before so I went back to it. Plus minimal masking compared to a spray and plenty
of left over incase of a touch up is needed or you could do more than one car.

yea I've been looking at it since it came out. I definitely see the
difference in build quality. Yea the gates are tight if you can find them with stock shifter.lol. Especially 2-3.
Have you had any tranny problems? I'm getting a second grind from time to time. And some times when cold tough to get in 1st or reverse.

Luckily no grinding or any issues, granted only 700 miles on my odo. Also no issues getting into reverse or 1st.... then again, maybe the MGW has a lot to do with it. It truly is almost a necessity to have on a manual 5.0. 2 to 3 is so clear, also snap back to center is just awesome.

BTW, seeing your black mustang (esp how WELL you detailed it) reminds me of how close I was to getting black instead. It was my # 1 choice... especially after seeing the movie "Drive" with Ryan Gosling. You seen that movie? If not, rent it/watch it. That movie was literally what put me over the edge to BUY a mustang... the 5.0 in there just looked HOT in black. But then I saw Kona Blue on a lot.... in person. :D The rest was history.

Interesting! I'll have to research it. I was looking into caliper covers but thought it would be cheesy if I did that. Thanks for the info. Those calipers look great!

Well, I have not been a fan of the Mustangs of recent, but, these new 5.0s are becoming more and more attractive to me. See, people tend to forget that things in marriage should always be 50/50.;)
Welcome to AGO, and what part of LA are you in?
P.S. I am really hating yesterday's game.:( That was very upsetting.

I'm kind of a die hard mustang guy my self.
I've just all ways loved them.
I agree on the 50/50 decisions I just was dreading the work black requires especially being a DD But now I think she may regret it since I usually
spend at least one day a week cleaning the car but I love it,
and am glad she chose black.
I'm Between Baton rouge and new Orleans
yea they definitely blew it.

700 I wish. We've got 7500 on the clock. But yea I think alot of the trans problems stem from the stock shifter. I'm going to have the
trans looked at then I'm going to get the mgw. And thinking about the 500 axle backs too.
No I have not seen that movie I'll have to check that out.

LOVE THE TWO STANGS!!

I had an 89 LX, 96 GT and now an 09 GT/CS. My 96 was the same color as your 90 5.0. Somebody on here has the car I would love to get one day - white Shelby GT500 w/blue stripes. Before adding my mods, I put on the classic American Thunder Flowmasters and love them. Check those out, I think you will like them. Plus, if you do what I did (Kooks LT + high flow mid pipe, FRPP cams, CAI) you will really love them.

Yank194 I'm with you my dream car is a Shelby with the classic white with blue stripes. Ideal would be a 65-66 FB with a modern Boss 302 crate engine.

Your 2012 5.0 looks awesome. I've been wanting red calipers on my 96 Cobra now you've given me an affordable way to do it.

We bought the 96 for me and my wife adopted it as her stress buster. When she has a bad day at work she comes home and says lets go for a ride. We have a B&M short shift kit in ours. Real nice feel. Never miss a shift. 2-3 is incredible just flows right in. We have all new exhaust new X pipe, no cats, Flowmaster mufflers with SS tips. Get lots of compliments on sound. I just bought Hi-Flo cats in case we want to drive more than the 5k a year that we can with emmisions exempt. Ours is Black with Black leather interior. Lots of work, but lots of stares. I want to have Shelby stripes painted on Gold like the GT-350H. But wife says no way. Will ruin the collectibility. Other than exhaust it's stock and was a garage queen when we bought it. 15 years old and 39k miles.

Long term lover of Mustangs. I've owned 67, 68 coupes. 70 Fastback, 70 Mach-1 351C Hurst 4 speed, 82 GT 5.0 Black T-tops TRX package, and now the 96 SVT Cobra.

I'm a newbie at this level of detailing. Santa brought me a GG 6" DA and the Meguiar's DA microfiber kit. I still need to get some pads and decide on an LSP for best deep gloss shine on Black. Love this forum. Spiney-Dave
