Hey guys. Its been awhile since i posted but I have done a bunch of reading and I think I am ready to tackle my black Mercedes Benz GL450. This is the list of products I currently Have (I purchased them about a year ago, but have not used any of it yet) but now I have time:

Meguiars Clay Kit
Porter Caple 7424XP
Menzerna Micro Finish (PO85RD)
Menzerna Super Finish
Wolfgang Deep GLoss Paint Sealant 3.0
Collinite 845
XMT Polishing Pad Conditioner
Numerous CSS Foam Pads (green, white, orange, blue, gray)

I know I have to wash and clay first but my question is with the Menzerna products. Which one should I use and with what color pad? Should I use the microfinish first, then the super finish, or the other way around? Am I missing anything (products or steps)? All your recommondations would be appreciated.

Least aggressive method first. What condition is your paint in? If there is very light swirls you could try PO85RD with a white pad.

Ummm, Im not sure. I know there are swirls and some water spots.

You will probably want to start off with the Super Finish and a white pad and see what that does. Posting some pictures will help too!

I agree :xyxthumbs:

My go to is 106fa (Nano) with a white CCS pad. Nano has a little more cut but try the 85 first and go from there.

Will do. Will be tackling my vehicle this weekend. Thanks for the help.

I would not use the Collinite 845 over the Deep Gloss Paint Sealant though. I think the solvents in the 845 would destroy the DGPS. Use one or the other. (I don't know if this is what you intended to do I'm just making sure).
