2012 Mustang GT 5.0 full paint correction - Opticoat 2.0

I love what you did! The new 5.0's are a blast.
I ordered mine and got it the day after it arrived. It didn't even sit on the lot 24 hrs. The paint on mine was close to perfect so I guess I got lucky.
 
WOW..... Thats how I want mine to turn out. I told my dealer if they put a front tag on it, or there buisness logo sticker or even the cheesy rear tag advertising frame I would not but it. I told them them aren't paying lento advertise. They obeyed my request

How will the Opticoat 2.0 do against future swirl marks? Thats my problem. My 2012 mustang is lava red which pretty much looks black unless in direct sunligut then its a dark purplish metallic red look. So mind never really get dirty other than dust and pollen from when garage do is up. i have a california duster but it seems to just push around the dust and streak the paint. Then when I QD with a cobra miricle towel BAM!!!! Light swirls again. So will the opticoat 2.0 protect the. Ar from those swirl marks from the QD? Donyour dan keep his under a cover? If so what brand and series? Any other advance will be greatly appreciated. Im getting ready to put in an order and i just want to make sure im not forgeting anything. Thanks!!!!!!
 
From my understanding, it will be harder to swirl, but its not impervious. I believe I once read it cures harder than clear coat. As long as you wash clean and dry with clean microfiber or waffleweave towels, you should be fine.

The OC 2.0 is holding up much better to swirling than the factory paint. I got my Dad set up on the right products for washing and drying, but he's not a detailer so I have noticed some areas of slight swirls but it's really nothing bad at all and still looks excellent under sunlight. He doesn't use a car cover, just keeps it in the garage. It's a daily driver for him (his 87 Buick Grand National is the one that gets a cover).

I would not hesitate to use OC 2.0 on your car.:xyxthumbs:
