Detailing my Shift Knob?

Under caution, my buddy polished a metal trim piece from my '00 Yukon that I dented bad and he straightened it out and used a buffer wheel with appropriate compound and it shines better than new. If I could pop off the rest of them easily enough I would do it to all of them.....

I like NXT All Metal Polysh or M105/M205 as a metal polish, Mothers.
 
I got an email from a buddy on shifters last week. Hmmmm, can't remember what that was about now.
