Blackfire Crystal Seal - The 11 Minute Paint Sealant

Does anyone put a coat of wax on top of this sealant? The reason i asked is because I put a layer of fuzion on top and it "felt" like i am rubbing off the sealant. It "felt" weird. I

You can, but I typically don't. If you do decide to apply a wax, wait at least an hour after applying Crystal Seal.

Thanks Nick. It was my fault for not reading direction. I don't think the time between the application of CS and the Fuzion is more than 10 mins. That probably explained the "crunchiness" feeling i have when i applied the Fuzion. Lesson learned.

i tried this stuff on my rims today. this stuff is pretty cool. brought out the shine and depth of the color. excuse the shitty iphone pics(and ugly center caps). looks way more better in person.

Did anyone topped this with Optimum car wax ? Or any wax at all ? Wise to apply more than 1 coat then wax ?

Since this is a sealant can it be applied to freshly clayed paint with no other protection?

My moms car hasnt been washed in 3 month, and never clayed. Its a 2006 expedition. Paint looks great and i wont be doing any correction. Wash with dawn mixed with pinnacle auto shampoo, clay with onr as lube, And CS as lsp? Just sound too easy, is my logic correct?

just wanted to post my weekend project. I washed, clayed, and then used Blackfire Polish and Seal (both products in 1) and finished with the Crystal Sealant. WOW This is good stuff - looks great.

I apologize if this has already been asked/discussed, but I'm at a cookout and this caught my eye. So I wanted to ask how this differed or was better than Ultima's Paint Gaur Plus, or Chemical Guys V7 optical spray sealant, or finally Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant? The fast 10 minute curing time before being able to reapply a second coat or a top wax coat is awesome, but I can be patient if another product is superior for shine and longevity. THANKS!

Ok so you suggest putting this on a month after BFWD?

One thing I'm worried about is putting on Crystal Seal on withougt claying cuz if there are particles under the cs they will be locked under there with blackfire polymers. Then they'd never come out. What are your thoughts on this Nick?

Same thing with BF deep gloss spray seleant you don't want to wash and spray this stuff over the top cuz the rail dust, ect... will be stuck between the lsp and the bfdgss.

Also is cs a big difference from bfdgss? Your thoughts?

I use ultima, WG spritz and bf cs. I use ultima on my wheels, the CS on my paint and the WG spritz between washes.

All great questions below from last page and this page! I am wondering the same exact thing, so thought I would quote them and bring them up to this current page since they haven't been answered yet...

I think double coating sealant is the way to go, just like top coat "lsp" waxes such as carnauba - but I'm waiting for more insight.

Good results! I have some Blackfire car wash on the way, but will really look into their line more in the future.

Is this true about permanently locking in contaminants and particles if sprayed with a sealant?

WOW... ALL THREE!? A man after my own heart. Haha. I never deny I have an "issue," I think many of us do, but I'm OCD about detailing and I fantasize often about trying new products. I officially spent more on new products this month, than my MORTGAGE. Yikes.

Anyway, the fact you use all three is awesome to me, I would be really thankful if you could please explain your reasoning for the three uses on paint, wheels, and between washes for each product, and the insight you used to come to those uses. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I feel really excited about Blackfire, I'm just so happy with Ultima and Duragloss, but hey, it's just money ;)

Sealants won't "lock" anything in - it's not like the sealant is a permanent coating, after all, and you're talking a bout a layer that's nanometers thick - easily removed if needed.

Thanks, those comments had me worried, but maybe they just meant temporarilly.

I love the fact that the BFCS flashes in less than an hour, so when at a show, you can create WHIPLASH several times overIm the MAN

Hi Klasse, just to make sure, but "flashes" means totally cures to the paint, and is 100% ready for another sealant coat or a topping of carnauba, right? Thanks.

PS: What other sealants have a quick hour-or-so cure/flashing time? I have the Chemical Guys V7 sealant spray, as well as Ultimas Paint Gaurd Plus spray :)

There is a lot of good information in this thread. Keep it coming guys and gals. :dblthumb2:

BUMP, just got my shipments in the mail, and want to make sure I don't reapply layers of sealant or top it with wax before it properly cures ALL THE WAY to prevent clouding or hazing for each of my new spray sealants.

I'm really excited about Ultima's Paint Guard Plus (and Chemical Guys V7 too, someone recently actually said they use THREE different sealants for various purposed, wheels, paint, and something else)

Thanks.

PS: Can someone explain why the title of this thread says "the 11 minute paint sealant," and then in the thread it says to wait around an hour while it "flashes" to apply more coats or a top layer of wax?
