Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel - The Most Versatile Tire Gel Available

the 5 minute cure time makes me believe this product is polycharged. is that correct ?

It's not polycharged. You don't have to wait 5 minutes before applying another coat, or driving away, it's just a suggestion for those who might be new to the dressing and apply it too thick.

I generally wait a minute between coats, if that.

Dear Nick & Friends

The matte-finished tire on the blue Mustang is the best-looking tire I've ever seen and makes me want to try the new Blackfire tire gel.

But I have half a bottle of Meguiar's High Gloss Endurance to finish and a brand-new bottle of Ultima Tire & Trim Gel to consume.

How long does it take y'all to dress tires? It takes me seven to eight minutes per tire, but I'm new to tire gel application and may be doing it wrong.

Jaddie,

When you place your next order I'll include a sample for you to try.

It usually takes me 2-3 minutes to dress each tire. :props:

Thank you very, very much, kind sir.

Oh, man. I must improve my technique. I'll search for a video on the site to see if I can glean some tips. The many tiny ridges slow me down. I keep dousing my applicator with gel and sloshing it on there to get it all covered. If I try to conserve the gel, it seems like it takes a lot of time and effort to cover those ridged areas.

ok, just tested this today. do you guys realize that this is water-proof ? as it beads water ?

I think thats great. I did two seperate tests on a fully degreased piece of vinyl to be sure. I also did a 50/50 with the blackfire tire spray dressing.

The spray does not bead water, but the gel does.

I'm still gonna do some more testing before i'm absolutely sure.

Thanks for the review.

I'm definitely one of the guys who like a matte finish on his tires. I really dislike the glossy look, but to each hs own.

My favorite tire protectant is Griot's Garage Vinyl & Rubber Dressing. Very nice matte finish. But I would't mind trying the Blackfire or Chemical Guys tire products.

it beads water ?

That's due in part to the polymers along with the conditioning agents. Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel not only enhances the appearance of the rubber, but it protects it too.

Here is another example of what one coat looks like.

Left side is bare, right side has been treated with one coat.

One complete coat.
