What products would you get a non car person?

An old friend of mine just got divorced. One of her gripes about her ex was he didn't care about their cars. So she asked me to show her how to wash a car without damaging the finish.
I bought her two buckets, two grit guards, soap, MF towels, and a few waffle towels.
She learned on her old car. And she now has a solid base on how to keep from damaging the finish on her new car. She will be taking deliver on a new Audi in a few weeks. Her first brand new car ever. I did clay her old car for her, but did not do any correcion.
When it comes to correction I will be doing that for her. And I will let her make the decision on waxing VS CQuartz. I also gave her one of the little cans of Fuzion at Christmas so she can see if she can handle waxing.
And since I know someone will ask. The soap was Optimum Car Wash.
That's awesome! My 09 black Infiniti is my first new car and I'm still working on that building my solid base of knowledge, lol! That's a wonderful gift to give your friend proactive knowledge about how to care for her new baby, before she drives her home! More important than the money she'll save, the knowledge you empowered her with will save her a lot of time, frustration, and wear and tear on her paint! :xyxthumbs:

I see no point in the grit guards. Their car probably already has swirls and scratches so using the grit guard now they wouldn't notice any improvement anyways. ;)

I disagree - no use in making things worse...the people in question here are responsible, that's why they asked...cars are in good shape....
