Just got blamed for....

LOL! I dropped the $300 rather quickly so I'm sure it will.

I tried warning you it would be easy. The forums and store make it to easy to go "OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH, I need that!"

Nothing makes me happier then seeing a woman that has gotten bitten by the detailing bug. It's not just a man's hobby at all. Welcome to the forums!

LOL.. Yeah, I'm in the thousands too. Built over time, but still, when you figure it all up it's amazing.

That is one thing I never want to do. I would get a gut ache if I did...

Try this product, 1 year later it is relegated to the back of the cabinet, on to the next product, 6 months or a year later another set pushed to the back

I just cleaned out the cabinet last year, and donated it to people.

Home Depot, AG, and Target I cannot get out of any of them, without spending at least 150.00

She's a car nut through and through that's for sure!

Alot of detailing products are over rated. You just need to know the basics.... iron-x>claybar>tar remover>compound>polish>nice wax or sealant. I don't understand why some people need to have ten tire dressings or have to try out every new apc that promises something it probably won't deliver. It's a waste of money. Most people know that before ordering, but they are addicted. Then they have a ton of product sitting on the shelf for no reason.

:iagree:

A lot of us are probably just looking for that holy grail. Something that takes less time yet lasts longer and looks better. Mike Phillips always has good advice, and "Find something you like and use it often" is definitely advice to take to heart. If you're looking to save money then perhaps a rephrase is in order: the first thing you find you like, use that often. :bolt:

Not mine, she started matching me dollar for dollar what I spend on detailing supplies to whatever she feels - house stuff, clothes, etc.

O.K. so I'm not the only one!

My wife fails to see that the most of the money I spend is to make us more money... 20 years later, and she still 'insists' her buying jewelry is an investment. Worst part with gold up so high she might actually be right!

I'm hoping to be driving down to AG in the next 7-10 days myself to place my first order... now that the better half has allotted me a max budget of $1000. *Gonna be tough as my list is in excess of $2k, but definitely getting the PC Kit, a Metro Vac, Foam Cannon, etc...

The wife and kids wanted me to wait until "Detail Fest" to drive down there thinking there may be some good deals on supplies, but if I don't get this rig together and get to work soon, I'll lose my mind by then.

Thank you for the welcome. :)

I do agree! The products that I purchased were glass and detail related rather than waxes/polishes. These are something that Dave (D.Acker) uses and recommended and I needed some new detail tools also. They were products that I haven't tried, Otherwise, I'm up for trying new products but will do so when I've exhausted the majority of what I already have.

As far as the four tire shine products that I have; I have one that has a nice shine to it and one that gives a matte finish, both of them I like for different times/reasons. I will use the ones that I don't care for so as not to waste them.

I tend to do that myself. I've found a few products that I like and tend to stick with them. They've worked well for me so I see no reason to toss tons of cash into products that I may not use.
