Protection for New Paint

90 days without protection will not hurt fresh paint. It is a good idea to lets the solvents release from the fresh paint, a lsp can disrupt that. After the 90 days wash the car, clay it, clean the paint with an aio or paint cleaner then apply a lsp.

the car is parked outside without any covers and owner wants some form of protection. weather is pretty bad at the moment ( some occasional rain ) and i'm afraid paint will receive some serious beating for at least 90 days so i need some sort of protection with minimal disruption on paint curing.

That I know of, there are NO paint manufactures that recommend sealing their paint systems until at least 30 days have passed and some even a longer period of time.
Paint manufactures know their product best so it's best to take their recommendation.
Dr. David Ghodoussi is a chemist that helped to create urethane clear coats in the 1990's for most of the major paint companies. If he says it's safe to seal paint before the manufacture states it is then I would respect his answer.
My post here is just to state what is the norm from paint manufactures, not Mike Phillips.
The above all said, I've never seen a brand new catalyzed basecoat/clearcoat paint job fail because it was sealed before 30 days. If it were me and I had a brand new paint job I would wait the 30 days after investing all the money and hard work that goes into a new paint job. That's just me though...
We sealed Jay's Blazer after it was around 20 some day old using Optima Car Wax. So time will tell if there's any issues but I don't believe there will be.

We did the wetsand, cut and buff last weekend on the Blazer last Saturday, I've been offline for a while and playing catch-up so I'll try to get the rest of the pictures up but here's a few teasers...
Except for a few areas we hand sanded, the majority of the panels were machine dampsanded.

Since I want to do same thing, if there weren't any problems.

It's the monsoon season over in the Philippines right now, isn't it? I was there in the Navy years ago and it would downpour every morning and then be really hot and humid the rest of the day!
Also, you can use V7 on it after 90 days, but IMO V7 does not give much protection.
