Haartz, the manufacturer of many convertible tops suggests:
For more stubborn cases, mix a solution of no more than 1/2 cup (4oz.) bleach and 1/4 cup (2oz.) RAGGTOPP™ Cleaner per gallon of water, soak for approximately 20 minutes and scrub lightly as indicated above. (Excessive soaking with the bleach solution can deteriorate seam threads.) Rinse thoroughly to prevent streaking on painted and chrome surfaces. Several cleanings may be necessary.

Use some good APC and scrub away!

Meguiar's APC and APC+ always worked OK for me. Even Purple Power diluted approriately has done what I needed it to. Optimum Power Clean is the best I've ever used...very versatile at various dilutions and even used full strength when needed I have yet to find anything it didn't work well on. (as always, test an inconspicuous spot before going whole-hog with any cleaner)

:iagree:OPC is great and the only APC I use now.
+1 OPC is all I use.
