Longest lasting spray wax?

OCW

=kingjohn21;622120]what do you guys think is the longest lasting spray wax?

Thanks[/quote]

For the OCW users...what else have you used?

Spray waxes are so easy to apply and look so good that most guys are using them like detail sprays by applying them after each wash or every other wash. I think therefore the debate about which spray wax lasts longer is an over rated one. Spray waxes are used best as a topper and not as the LSP.

Honestly - Nothing. Previosly, if I wanted to up the shine, I would do a quick re-wax.

Never thought much about it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I agree with you. I don't think I'd ever use a spray wax as an LSP. Just something for in between wax. I think there was a thread about spray waxes killing the QD. I will say the spray wax behaves like a qd in that after a wash, any water spots or very light dusting disappears when I apply the XMT 360 spray wax. I have nothing to base my comparison of XMT 360 spray wax. I do know that it looks great, gives a nice deep gloss, and last awhile.

I have bought some OCW but yet to use it. XMT 360 and OCW are the two spray waxes that are forever popping up in all the spray wax threads. As mentioned durability can become a mute point as people generally use it in place of quick detailers. I mostly use my QD as a drying aid so like to have room for both.

+1 OCW.... my gallon will last many years across 2-5 cars but I digress. I do tend to use OCW as a topper rather than an LSP so I do see the point with a spray wax being a "moot point". I plan on testing OCW on a test panel with another spray wax and a few other LSP's in the next month or so. Based on experience with other waxes OCR does last a lot longer, but I want harder facts in-hand.

I love Megs Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax D156. You can use it on every part of the car, very easy to apply and buff, works great on glass and smells good too.

Does it have to be a spray wax or any spray lsp?

If you want a long lasting spray lsp then,

For a topper OCW........for a stand alone lsp Duragloss!

For a topper, say you wax with fusion, and after a few washes you use OCW, is it ok to put another coat of fusion over that in another week or 2?

While it is true that I can apply spray wax every wash, some people value the cost that a long lasting LSP saves. If you do not have an extra 5-10 minutes to apply spray wax every week or want a bottle of spray wax that will last for a longer time, get OCW.
