Received my Optimum Car Wax today.Testedit out on a "bare" panel that just had been polished. It applied and removed effortlessly, with a viscosity a little bit thicker that a detailer. It also left a very nice gloss and slick finish.
This is not a full review but rather a first impression of the product.

As much as I like OCW I feel a lot better by using a sealant like Blackfire, Wolfgang or Menzerna Power Lock over clean paint. Using a spray wax like OCW as a topper every few weeks will only add to the durability.

I agree ,I would never used it as a stand alone.I did that just on that one panel for testing purposes(practice car).
On the other panels I have 3m performance finish topped with 3m Show Car Paste Wax!
Another single panel has Poil-Seal topped with OCW.

This is actually a photo of the side with the 3m products but I didn't notice any visual difference on the OCW panel, both looked really nice.It started to rain so I just hosed the car down to check out the beading.

Just got back from running a quikie water sheeting test on the car.the Optimum Car wax Clearly outperformed the 3M side! Which surprises me because the 3m wax is formulated with acrilyc-silicone flouropolymers!
Got the idea from Corey's review of Meg's UQW, in which the Optimum also performed well!

I used to feel the same way, then I got old and out of shape. After a day of cleaning down to the paint and correcting a few defects, a quick spray and wipe gets me back to the couch faster. I probably keep my car better protected since these are so easy to use, I do it once a month.

OK here's an update with photos

This Panel is Just Optimum Car Wax Applied after polishing,it was also just washed with Gold Class mixed with ONR.
