we will do the same system with Autogeek in the US

avi since this is being mentioned do you mind making a thread stating pros and cons vs original cquartz and finest? alot of detailers are looking for some comparison i bet, i am interested also and thinking about introducing semi/permanent paint protection to my area due to all the pollen and love bugs around here. might be helpfull to AG staff as well to have this done so they are not bombarded with pm's
 
So I am confused....will this product be offered through AutoGeek?

If so, will there be restrictions on who can buy it?
 
No it appears it will not be offered to the public. If I had to guess, it will be very similar to the Opti-Guard where a tax ID number is required.
 
Im very excited about CQ Finest! Its going to be available to businesses similar to OG is. Pro version

You are 100% on this right here!!! Dont BS us. If CEEDOG can do in depth reviews of your products then I expect you to at least do a side by side on a black car with regular cquartz and FINEST and have correct lighting. Dont BS us with marketing!!!!
 
Could just be me but it seems like they are kinda missing the mark, by selling only to businesses. I know of a ton of individuals that buy opti-coat but not a single detailer within 50 miles that has it. Seems like u would really take a hit on your sales by trying to make it exclusive to shop owners.
 
Man, I would love to have this. Avi, do you need a tax ID, or do you have to be "authorized" by CarPro to get it?
 
I just got my kit in for testing last week! It's very cool, comes in a box, the bottle is frosted black, it has warranty cards for the CarPro Finest installer to provide the client, the microfiber Suedes and applicators.

I expected it would be more similar to regular CQ then it is but looking at the ingredients and % it appears to be very different!
 
What exactly does the warranty cover Corey? And who will pay for any warranty claims, the detailer or CarPro?

Sales would most definitely be lower going this route, but you also protect your "image." Say the product application is easy to mess up, you do not want the first pictures and reviews of your new product to be of clowns that messed it up, especially depending on what the warranty covers.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up with something like Opti-Guard and Opti-Coat 2.0 only Cquartz Finest and Cquartz Finest 1.5 (no warranty version) but I wouldn't expect that until there has been a good run on Cquartz Finest, they are happy with the product (no changes required once the public starts playing with it), and most important to me, a pile of information on the internet of how to do it correctly :D.

And I don't mean to call anyone clowns on here, but in going Turtle Wax to Opti-Coat 2.0, I have had no problems with my applications using sites like Autogeek to guide me. And in the time I spent finding that "guidance" to make my first application go well, I couldn't believe the amount of troubles and complaints people had. And after applying OC for the first time, I really couldn't believe how many problems there had been... But those problems probably pale in comparison to what would have happened if they had tossed Opt-Guard to the general public instead of limiting it.

I'll have to take a closer look and see if it is spelled out on the card but I assume the warranty is for the integrity of the coating to last the promised length of time. I also expect the warranty which the detailer is giving the customer is the responsibility of the detailer since he is applying the product.

I wouldn't think there is a need for money to change hands but there would be additional time spent by the detailer to reapply the coating in a worst case scenario. But with the upsell price the customer is paying the detailer I think it would cover for those incidents. If the detailer installed it wrong he would lose some profit from re-installation but should still come out ok $ per hour he was paid.

If there was an issue the detailer had then I would think that's between him and CarPro. And with some assistance and talking through things it would hopefully be worked out and method of application perfected. That is all of course assuming that Finest works as advertised. Can't wait to try it in a couple weeks!
 
Since I can't get their "finest" , this REALLY makes me want to run out and buy Cquartz's "second best"....lol. <sarcasm>

Thanks Corey. I wasn't really talking about exchange of money - more like, if application was done as per recommendation, and the product still, for some strange reason, failed, CarPro would cover the detailer for any additional product and time spent getting the customer's car re-coated.
