Other day I did a comparison between Fuzion and OCW, basically to see how good OCW is. First of all it's amazing, but today, the warmest day since its been outside, I found streaks just on the OCW side. I applied the wax on Wednesday and never noticed it til today. I did spray over the section twice with 4 to 5 pumps on half the hood. More than I normally do. Are these streaks do to applying too much. I'm assuming it is. Thanks

To much product. For half a hood I'd spray probably 1-2 times.

And in times u means sprays. I think what I tried to do was put a lot on to compete with the Fuzion. It's the only apart of the car with streaks

You used twice as much (if not more) than was needed.

As stated above, it's a little too much. Also using the same MF that buffed the Fuzion to wipe the OCW will do that too.

Correct. You simply used way to much. Today's car care products generally share the same application rule. Thin is better.

Thanks guys. It has never happen before so that's why I was a little stressed. Thinking maybe it randomly happens. But anyway from now on I'll know less is more

I haven't tried my OCW yet but this thread has probably saved me over applying the product

With optimum products, less is more. Next time, in addition to using less ,also spray the towels and not directly on the paint.

I have found, from trial and error, these guidelines hold true for getting good results with Meg's Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax (which is basically the same as Ultimate Quick Wax, from what I hear), as well as for OCW:

1. Less is more when spraying a panel.
2. Shake the bottle before using.
3. Spray the towel before hitting the paint
4. Flip the MF and wipe off quickly after spreading to avoid streaks
5. Back up, have a glass of scotch and smile.

Actually, #5 is good anytime, anywhere :p

Like mentioned that sounds like to much, but adding a clean soft towel to buff it in will help the most.

1. Spray panel and spread with towel #1
2. Switch to towel #2 and buff till gone.
