I'm looking to opti coat my car next weekend and while reading up on the product notice I have to ipa the car AFTER I swirl and polish. Will griots paint prep work. Or should I get the car pro eraser?
 
If you don't wash after polishing, I would use the Eraser as it will clean the polishing dust as well as the oils.

If I am not mistaken, the Optimum Power Clean is the recommended product to use for this.
 
paint prep needs to be rinsed off, might as well wash with OPC as it's cheaper

if you use optimum polishes though then you can just wipe down with a damp mf...

Correct, Dr. David Ghodoussi has told me this at least twice when in conversation with him about preparing the surface for Opti-Coat II


I also posted some comments about marring paint when wiping to strip the surface in this thread,

My point was that it's possible to mar the surface when chemically stripping the paint but only if you're working on black paint and you looked for it would you see it.
