Wash media for rinselss wash. What do you use ?

how the heck to do not wipe the car at all after using ONR ? Isn't there uneven streaking like patterns if you dont lightly buff it with a towel ?

I have not tried the Meg's mitts but they seem to be able the same class.
 
I have an Aqua grout sponge that I bought off of Ebay, $10.99 w/ free shipping, that one is used on the car and I've got a cheaper one from Home Depot for the tires/wheels. I originally was using the Home Depot one and liked how it worked but then found the Aqua sponge and it was all over!

I also have 2 microfiber wash mitts as well, back up:xyxthumbs:
 
I have the Opti Mitt and LC Garage Sponges but I prefer a super plush MF. My new favorite is a yellow and gray MF stitched together and soft edging stiched very well. Similar to Carrand but softer IMO. S

I've used the bone, chenille noodles, also thrown out the LC blue sponge, and the sheepskin washpads (good but don't last too long). I always go back to mf b/c it's faster to almost dry with the same media rather than switching back and forth.

I was patiently waiting for the Chinchilla to be back in stock but now there's the whole linting and quality issue. Maybe I'll try one anyways.

Also sometimes use my Griots speedshine towels for rinseless when I run out of rolled edge but they are not as plush. They lint like crazy when used for anything else so hopefully the chinchilla will behave similarly if it does indeed lint.

I also use the Griot's Speedshine towels for my media. Same reason you said too, they lint ttoo much for anything else. I've found that they're great for rinseless washing though. I make a pass with it, rinse it, wring it out, make a drying pass with that same towel, then follow it with a dry CG super towel. This method is working great for me so far.
 
I use the microfiber chenille bone from Wal-Mart. Works well and are cheap.
 
I use a lambswool pad. I really like it. It's extremely soft and very gentle on the paint. If the car is fairly dirty I use a chenille wash pad.
 
I'm attending Joe from Superior Shine's class on rinseless washing at Detail Fest. Curious to see what he has to say.
 
I just started using wool pads and really like the even coat of solution they apply. Seem to really capture dirt better than chenille mf pads. I only use mf towels when doing waterless washes/QD'n, or cleaning lower panels/rockers.
 
I never use anything other than my green chenille wash mitt from chemical guys. I love them so much I don't use anything else ever. I also ordered a dozen so I could separate my wheel mitt from paint mitt.

I used the LC blue sponge. Don't know why this is disliked by some.
I have yet to have a problem on my F150 or the Mrs' G6.

After washing a section, when it is full of dirt, I can drag it on the grit guard in the rinse, and it comes out clean.

Holds the dirt off the paint, and releases easy enough on the grit guard.

I have a Opti mitt I just got, have not tried it yet.
Got it at the recommendation of others for horizontal surfaces.

I am also doing the spray bottle of ONR at 30 oz water & 2 oz ONR as a pre soak.
Think this was a thread by Nick. I have never not done this.
It is the double spray head, so it puts a lot on the paint in short time. So I use ~ 2 oz of ONR per vehicle ( about 50% of the bottle and a 2 gal bucket each one ).

i love these pads for traditional wash's. I feel that they are fairly expensive and have a short life, so I prefer to save them for my regular wash.

For ONR I would rather something more durable and cost effective.

But I do agree, these pads are amazing !!!.
 
the synthetic wool washpad from Adam's is supposed to be very good and lasts a long time...
