Stolen car: Please keep your eyes open

Just received this message from a friend.

To all my Facebook friends: my 2008 Honda Civic Si Mugen Limited Edition was stolen from in front of my home last night between 3am and 11am. It has the license plate "MUGEN" (Illinois). Please keep your eye out for this if you have seen anything. I am offering $1000 reward that leads to the finding and arrest of whoever has stolen it. I will be canvassing the area and going to local businesses to see if they have cameras set up. Please keep a look out in local car communities and Craigslist/eBay.Thanks for listening and if you know of anything please contact me.


As mentioned above, if any one sees\finds anything that you believe may lead to this car, please PM me here and I will pass the information on.

Ugh. I hope your friend finds the car unscathed. The thought of someone stealing my car makes my blood boil.
 
Damn, werent you guys doing a tranny swap just couple weeks ago? Hidden kill switches ftw.

Hope you guys find it undamaged.
 
This burns me up man. I really hope your friend finds the guy who did this and beats the chit out of him!...and yes...gets his car back.
 
I'll Keep my eyes peeled seeing as I am not far from you. my friends buddy's built honda got jacked 2 years ago too... right from his house. and his was louder than hell... but no one heard it...

Yup same car. He has had more bad luck with this car, you can't hardly imagine.
 
Wow not shock about it but is common for example in Chicago, I know kids from Chicago that deal with Honda. Not to be negative but at this point that car is already parted out. In NY is the same issue, good luck!

Actually stolen in Palantine.



Update, this is posted on several forums, we got word that it sounds like someone actually spotted the car about 11:00 this morning near Geneva Commons, being driven.

My friend only received one key from Honda when he purchased the car. He's wondering if the previous owner didn't keep a key and either decided they wanted the car back after about a year, or sold the key for a nice price.. That's of course only speculation.

Actually, if anyone sees the car or think you have any info, you can call Adam the owner directly @ 847-385-483four
 
warn Adam that he may end up getting a call real early in the morning like any where between 2 and 6am. if my gf see's the car she will call the cops then call him no matter what time it is

Detailgod. do you know anyone near the Wendys on Randall rd? I was there years ago and I know a lot of kids with hondas and other imports gather there when it's nice out. I was by one of the car hangouts last night and there were quite a few people there. Maybe since it's gonna be nice in the next few days if you know someone near there they can take a drive by and see if it's there.

Oh yeah and the guy that saw the car this morning saw it still had those same plates on it. You can't really miss something like that.
 
i just moved to Batavia 1 month ago. was in Aurora before that
 
Update....

Car has been found! E brake is broken, fingerprinting on the way to figure out who did this... In the rain this is not fun after it was found a block and a half away
