I got my GG6 about 6 months ago and just a little while ago I cleaned up my car, decided to put some d300 on it. This is the 2nd time I've used it, first time was to polish out some swirls from some clearcoated alloy wheels.

It has maybe 20 minutes of use on it.

Well, the back part of the case (rear) came undone from the orange part and moved back while I was using it, got a very small shock from it. I'm positive that's what it was, and now even though I shoved it back in place it won't stay without some packing tape wrapped around it.

The speed dial is now 'sunken in' and can't really move it.

It's not really clear what holds it on, but it's only been out of the box 2 times now.

I'll be calling Griots tomorrow since they have the warranty but puzzled about what happened.

Doesn't sound good. Hopefully Griot's will replace or fix it. I'll stick with my PC for now.

could be, there are these little brass screws right behind where the two body parts meet. That's where I guess the shock came from. I don't really see anything that can hold those two parts together.

oh well, at least it has a warranty.

My PC7424XP's black case where u hold it came loose too....
Anyone had this happened?

Yep, I just used small drops of superglue/gorilla glue on the end of a toothpick and rub the edge of the black housing and pussed it back in place, perfect now.

PC has been around since I have memory...

At least you get Lifetime Warranty...

I could use the glue, but something has also happened with the speed dial as well; it's pushed way in or something.

Amazon has volunteered to take care of it though. Just watch for them getting loose, don't want any more shocks.

I guess I'll have to give mine a good looking over. I've used it quite a few times and haven't had any issues, but I guess I better do a little preventative inspection. At least it's got a lifetime on it.

This is the reason they come with a lifetime warranty....

I emailed griots and since I got it from amazon they couldn't find a record for it of course.

I didn't inquire if I sent the receipt over if that would let them replace it, but in the meantime a simple email to amazon got me a new replacement on Friday morning.
