Hello this is my first write up so go easy on me. I was contacted by my cousin this pass week she wanted me to see what I would do for her 2002 CLK 320. The car was in pretty rough shape. 10 yrs of drive-tru car washes and improper washes. I don't think this car had ever seen a layer of wax in its life. The car has has lots of chips on the front bumper and hood as you can see in some of the pictures. Sorry for the crappy pictures I had to rush the outside shots as clouds were coming in with rain.

Wheels- CG Diablo Gel
Washed 2 bucket method with CG Citrus W&G
Clayed using CG lube.

Test spot.
White Hex logic pad with M205 (no luck)
Orange Hex logic with M105 (better results but still needed more work)
Finally Surbuf pad with M105( got 80-85% of swirls and scratches)

Used
Surbuf with M105
White Hex logic with M205
Black Hex logic with Glossworkz Glaze
Red Hex logic with Blacklight
Topped with V7

Good job dude! Nice turn around.
Are the hex logic your go to pad or something that you are experimenting with?

It took me almost 9hrs..I'm still new to detailing. I did it with 7424XP. I can't wait till I get the flex this summer.

Hey david , u use the CG Glossworkz glaze and u top it with BL right?
Did u see any difference after laying the BL over the glaze?

As in like gloss and slickness?
Was the glaze easy to apply?

Yes I use the Glossworkz glaze on a black hex logic pad on speed 4 with very light pressure. The Blacklight gave it that extra pop in gloss and slickness. I will be doing my own car in 2 weeks. I will use glossworkz glaze+blacklight+CG 50/50 and finish with V7

Well I'm still a noob I started with buying stuff from chemical guys since there warehouse is 5mins away from my job and those are the pads they carry I got those to get started about a yr ago.. I'm going to buy some LC hydrotech pads and see how I like those.

Im try it today... i called CG and asked, if i use their glaze and top it with BL will it cancel anything... all she told me was BL has glaze within it already....

But im try it anyways....

What color pad u use to apply BL?

I think if your worried about removing the glossworkz you should apply the BL by hand. I seen videos of people using EZ Creme Glaze and top it with BL followed By Petes 53' topped with V7. They got excellent results also. It just depends you won't know till you try it.

Okay... i guess i will use DA to apply glossworkz and hand apply BL, and DA apply Jetseal....

Thanks man. She was happy. She said she would never take it to a car wash again. Now that shes married her husband is going to wash the car. I showed him the proper way of washing the car
