Nice, they didn't have a 71, but they had the brochure for a 72 Nova which seems very similar. The 71 Nova coupe was my first car, a HS grad present in 1991. Apparently I read my Chilton's manual wrong lol. I guess my 307 V8 had about 130HP not 200. That manual wasn't kidding though about it being reliable. I got it with about 120K on it, rebuilt once from what I understand (orange paint on the manifold) and when I finally let it go 3 years later, it was something like 240K because I'd rolled the odometer again. Anyway, it was pretty cool to be able to see a factory brochure for something very close to what I had.

I bought a 1971 SS with a brand new bbc and the owner spun one of the rear main bearings. Picked the entire car up for $500.00, threw a 283 in the Nova and sold it. Put a crank kit in it and stuffed it into my first Chevy 4x4 Monster Truck and never had a problem with it.

I like how Nova's look, just never seemed to like how I fit in one or driving one, but with the right paint and wheels they look cool.

Awesome! My dad is going to love this, I'll download brochures for all the cool cars he had in the 60s and 70s (Corvette, Nova, Chevelle, etc)

Nah, the build quality of American cars was so bad back then they just waited for one to come off the line that way...





THAT WAS A JOKE! I say, I say...I say, that was a joke, son! (Foghorn Leghorn) I never got one without a tire--got one without a spare tire, but that's a different story, although a true one. It is pretty amazing how things have changed though (both with computer graphics and cars).

Hehe, I couldn't complain, I was fresh out of high school in 1991 so a free car that was in GREAT shape was a bonus. For being a 20 year old car, I was the 3rd owner. My grandparents had it before that for a number of years and babied it, and the original owner kept it in the garage all the time and restored cars so he kept it in good shape too. As a matter of fact he'd redone the upholstery on the seats so it was pretty nice.
