I've had a wheel for some time now, a Griot's 3 and 6" RO and have been using their foam pads along with the Optimum MF polishing and compounding pads too ( haven't had the chance to use the compounding ones yet) but at what point would I need wool over foam or MF? Does my Griot's RO have the design/speed to even use a wool pad correctly? Any input would be greatly appreciated:xyxthumbs:

Wool is for rotary and not usually used with RO's. As reported by many, MF is close to the cutting ability of a wool pad.
Hope this helps.

^^ Thank you so much so basically, the MF pads and correct polish will net me the results needed on badly maintained paint....for the most part?

You may go with meguiars MF system - MF pads and D300/D301 combo.
