Why on jet seal?

This is what they claim but the durability of it is no where close to this.

Would you mind elaborating how did you reach a conclusion that it is not that durable? A few friends of mine are using it and are very happy.

Also, a famous sealant test in a different detailing forum found this as one of the most durable sealants (I can't give a link because of the ground rules, but look for "sealant test" in Google, and it will be the first link), along with Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 which I use.

How do you perform the proper "sealant test"

Can't read article until later

Fair enough. Yes, the products are definitely over-priced, but if I like them, I'll buy them.

On a side note, I don't think Meg's Xpress Wax has the durability of the Quick Sealant.

You are correct Megs Xpress Wax doesn't have the durability of Adams QS. It lasts about 1 month , Adams last 3 or 4 but Megs looks better so I just use it once month.

The guy simply divided his RV to panels using a masking tape, and on each panel he applied a different sealant (I think there were waxes there as well), and updated what was their current state a few times over a few months period. The last update was 4 months after the test began and according to him, the finalists successfully survived an extreme winter.

He used a huge amount of different sealant samples.

Jetseal is probably the best looking sealant. But no where near power lock as far as a sealant goes.

i found one he may have been talking about, but it was a worthless test lol it was on autopia

Yeah ment to say powerlock has a lot better duribility but not as great of a look. Although I personally enjoy pl's looks as well

I haven't used Powerlock so I can't comment on it but would suspect it is like their other products and is very good. I also wouldn't mind the Jet Seal not having the durability if it were advertised as such. As much as I like most CG stuff I hate their miss leading advertising.

Honestly I pay no attention to the descriptions. They all say it's the best ever. In the end I just try them and I'm usually very pleased.

Well maybe I should give the Jet one more try and layer it to see if the outcome is any better. I got lazy and only did the one coat. It was gone after less than one week and 1 rain.

most over-rated? CCS pads when people are using a da polisher. While I was making a post I came to the following conclusion; we spend all this effort trying to maximize correctional ability and correction speed when using a free rotating spindle DA such as the porter cable's by using smaller pads. Yet, some use pads with the least surface area of any pad of its size and expect good correctional ability and correction speed just makes no sense to me. that's my input for my #1 over-rated product.

good point ^

and zatch i would definitely give jetseal another try or two, try dual layers topped with a nuba

Glossworkz Glaze.

Just kidding - It's actually awesome.

Any wax that costs +$60 and also any sealant that costs +$40.

disagree any wax over 100 bucks pinnacle is some great stuff. Any sealant over 50. Fuzion is just overrated because of the cost. The sample version is the best way to get this wax:iagree:
