I am always on a mission to find a GREAT wax!!! This is not easily accomplished. I have used the likes of P21S, Swissvax, Zymol, Chemical Guys, and Dodo Juice. Lately I have been using a sealant (currently Chemical Guys Black Light) due to the heat we experience in AZ and it is a good base for carnauba wax.

While sealants are good for longevity they typically do not provide the clarity and shine of carnauba. Carnauba typically has a short lived life and needs to be re-applied on a more frequent basis than sealants (I apply carnauba wax every 4-6 weeks).

I have recently been introduced (via an internet search under the "best carnauba wax" to Migliore: Migliore: Luxury Car Care. I only invested in wax for my first purchase, but this will change when I order next as they make quite a few products that work in concert. I bought a pot of Migliore Primo

Migliore is, from what I can tell, a small, high end company making fine boutique automotive products. I do know they are based in the US.

So on to the wax (Migliore Primo) - the case presentation is nicer that $500 waxes I have used in the past. There is a pleasant citrus aroma to the wax. Migliore Primo is easy to apply and easy to remove provided you use a very small amount which translates into many, many more full applications per pot than other boutique waxes. Shine is amazing!!! Price point for the Migliore Primo is far below what it should be as I've used many other products that cost 300-500% more that don't hold up to this shine or ease of use (very important to remember).

Anyways, here a pic of the GT2 a day after application of Migliore Primo...take a look at their site if great boutique wax and shine is something your interested in.

Whoa!! Looks beautiful :). Thanks for the review!

I've heard it's not the easiest to apply but not bad as long as its applied thin.

My buddy Tad sent me a sample but I haven't had the chance to use it.

If you want the looks of a wax in a sealant get some Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection! I'll post my review of it over here tonight or tomorrow.

I really like the stuff. You guys that think it's hard to remove you got to remember everything they make is 100% natural. No added chemicals to insure an easy in and off application.
The point that it is 100% natural makes it even more amazing that they make such great stuff. Last about 5-6 months as well IME.

:iagree:You'll be blown away by the "wax like" look of 4* UPP sealant. On properly polished paint it offers a wet look, gloss, and depth to the paint that is usually only found in a fine wax...

BTW my buddy Corey mentioned that I sent him a sample of Primo, but he forgot to mention that he gave the pot that the sample came out it...Im the MAN

Looks awesome! Just out if curiosity, before this product.... What was your favorite ???

Very beautiful !
I use Dodo Banana on my 88 911 Guards Red and love it.
Does the Primo hold up better ?

Do you work for Migliori? It's the hardest removing wax that I have used.

No. I am a physician in Scottsdale and my hobby is detailing I just don't know how much longer I have the back for it.

I only started using the Migliore Primo so I don't have enough time with wax on the GT2 to tell. To be honest I've never really look at longevity with carnauba as, in my experience and humble opinion, it does not last very long. Please understand I am in a very hot environment in Scottsdale, AZ and not much lasts here.

I also have used (and still have) Dodo Juice Banana Armour and have used it on my 997 Turbo (Speed Yellow). While I enjoyed the results the two products are very different. Migliore melts into the applicator much easier then BA and has a deeper shine. One of the things I disliked about BA was how it created quite a static charge on the paint and attracted a lot of dirt/dust. Porsche Turbos and GT2's are notorious for picking up dirt on the entire rear portion of the car. I have not experienced this issue with Migliore Primo.

Swissvax Concorso. Keep in mind that the Concorso set me back over $300 and lasted 10 months (this is one application, by plain hand method, every 4 weeks). Migliore Primo will last 3-4 times as long waxing every 4 weeks.

The reason it looks so good is it's a RED Porsche GT2!!

My God that car is gorgeous!! :props:

There is a slight learning curve to using Primo. I used a small yellow foam pad, but will start using a P21S wax applicator pad as I want to pick up very little wax from the pot. I applied it with my vision at an angle relative to the painted surface as to appreciate how much and where it was being applied. It appears you can wait 15-30 minutes to remove (maybe longer) and this is a real benefit as some of the waxes I have used force us to work in small sections at a time removing the LSP before it dries. Migliore Primo allows my to apply wax to the entire car before removal.

Sorry I just saw your "removal" comment. I used some quick detailer on some areas that I applied too much wax to. The application reminds me of Dodo Juice Supernatural as it much be applied is a very fine/thin layer to avoid re-sweating/hazing. I had some hazing in the areas I applied it too thick and those areas had to be wiped down several time. I won't let that happen again. :buffing:

Sorry Doc, I still hate Primo. But I love your car.

WOW! Yup, a lot of people say that it's hard to remove. Well, it sounds like easy removal is possible. By your post and these awesome pictures, Migliori Primo becomes a make or break, high risk high reward product.:D So if someone loves to wax and its looks, this product deserves a place in his shelf. If you found the key in applying thin for easy removal, congratulations. If not, sorry. At least, it makes a good display. :D
