Best Sealant, Wax?

Hi well I will be starting my first polishing soon and whanted to know in everyones honest opinion which sealant works the best at shine and lasts the longes. I have been looking into Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax that does not seem bad and comes with a microfiber and pad. Anyways what are your opinions on whats best to use as selant after polish.
 
If you use the search feature you will find hundreds of threads about the same question.

I use Blackfire Wet Diamond and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant as my sealants. Blackfire Midnight Sun and Collinite 845 are my go to waxes.
 
Your going to get ten different answers. Try out two or three and see what you prefer. in the end it's your opinion that counts.
 
Yep, theres alot on this topic. "Find what you like and us it often"

I really Poorboys EX-P with either Nattys Red or Blue even Fuzion used in there. Also 845 is outstanding for long protection!

Pretty much try as much stuff as you like, and stick with it.
Alot of the things now come in samples sizes as well, like wolfgang DGPS, pinnacle liquid souveran, blackfire AFPP, etc. And even other sealants, like ultima, come in a small 4oz size going only for $20.
Think about it this way, while you're going to hit and miss with some sealants, and even if you're not happy with SOME aspect of the product (application, looks, or something else), you're only buying the small size; you're not out alot of money, and you're not stuck with alot of product. And somewhere in your journey you'll have found what you like. That's why I did. My previous order, I bought like, 8 samples of things I wanted to try :P
 
Turtle wax hard shell, it says it lasts 12 months in the bottle :D:D:D:p:p
 
Thank-You so much everyone this is my second day at being a member of AGO and dont have a full grasp on anything yet so I do apoligize, Thank-you for your imput and I will be going with the Ultimate Liquid Wax and see when it starts to fade ill make a chart and do it a second time and after that buy a different product and include it in a chart this will take me a couple of months if not years once im halfway there I will try and post some of the results. Again Thanks.
P.S Yep When its put that way:haha:then im sure it can even last another 12 mo.:xyxthumbs:
 
Collinite 476 or 845 - topped with Max Wax- my combo - works very well -

Hi Alex (22):

-Usually I'm an adherent to Mike Phillips philosophy of: K.I.S.S. when referenced for detailing purposes.
-And in this instance/regards to your thread's inquiries, from this philosophy I prefer not to stray. As such:

-Once you've completed the polishing-phase in order to: "Meet your expectations"...
-Perhaps a washing-away/removal-of polishing oils from your vehicle...(Not an absolute, IMO, just if you so desire/deem necessary)...Then, after the vehicle is totally dry:
-Apply an easy-on/off, most excellent sealant, such as Wolfgang DGPS 3.0, leaving a cure-time of 12+ hours...Before:
-Applying your wax...Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax is pretty good...But I like Meg's #26 a whole lot better. (Proven D.O.I. enhancer, BTW!!) Give it a try. Either way, Meg's won't break the bank

Any reason on one says Meg's #21 sealant??
 
If your just starting out I can't see how you can beat Meguiars Ultimate Wax in:

1. Price
2. Ease of Use
3. Durability(Longevity) of Protection
4. Beading and Sheeting of Water
5. Reflective Gloss
Sure, are their some super high quality expensive other products out there, Yes.

But for me personally, the COMBINATION of Price, ease of use, durability, and gloss, you just can't go wrong with the Meguiars Ultimate Wax.

You can always start with this, and see what A good quality Wax can do and the results u get from it. And then as time goes by and u get a good feel for application/ removal, and results, you can test out other brands and applications to see and feel what fits your needs best.

Remember that to get the most out of the wax your using is a result of how well you preped the paint and removed conamination, and swirls, before hand.

No reason in particular...I was just thinking about one of the sealants I had in stock at the moment.

Meg's #21 is a good sealant, also!
You're correct...I should have suggested to stay within one product-line to the OP.

Thank-You, I will be using Ultimate Wax and after that wil be getting collinite 845 i think thats the name not sure. and then ill keep experimenting, you have no clue how helpfull this was.Im the MAN:dblthumb2:
