I know not alot of people use these but I do and I wanted to get a new one. I use

the large duster...that one was NA so I settled for the smaller one...that ones NA

also. What gives?

Looks like Autogeek has some Carrand dusters that come up when you do a search for "Duster" but California brand dusters were not showing up. But, when you go up top to the "Shop by brand" section you can select "California car care products" and the California dusters are there.

Yeah I found them but they're on backorder...for quite awhile now.

on my dining room table used to dust my house..for my car i use a lambs wool duster.

My dad wanted one. Found it at Wallymart, quite a few on the shelf, but they are "out of stock" on line. Go figure...

I see them at my local AutoZone everytime I'm go there...

But an FYI for anyone interested:

"The Original California Car Duster is On a National Backorder until the middle of May 2012" ~ California Car Duster

Hmm...must be some problem at the original Chinese plant...

I tried one of those back in the day (had an 87' Grand National) and all it did was left these streaks behind it, horrible! I do have a Griot's duster and its made of MF but now they don't have them anymore either, what the heck!!

Mine is in the garbage can along with the water blade....

What's wrong with the water blade?

I'll load up pics from a car I detailed a few weeks ago when I go home for lunch. Owner had a very nice, deep, vertical scratch in his paint from the water blade. The paint was also heavily marred and scratched. I was not the least bit surprised to see the California Duster in the trunk of the car either...

^^ Sounds like there was something already on the paint when using the blade. I've been using the blade for quite a while now w/o an issue but since using ONR, haven't had to use it too much recently.

Exactly. They work fine when the paint is 100% clean, but all it takes is one tiny spec of dirt to instill a scratch too deep to fully remove. Why take that risk just to save a few minutes of drying time? There were several on this car but one was very bad.

There only meant to remove dust not dirt. I use it maybe first day after washing on my garaged car. Any car that's a DD or is kept outside is no good. Even though clean 100% by black BMW will get dusty not even leaving the garage. And don't get me started on the nats that like to kamikaze my hood. Cordless leaf blower works on them
