I am filling up my cart and need to add some clay and am not sure what to get. I want a general use one and the most quantity I can get.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Griot's gives a lot of bang for the buck and tends to be on the softer side, which I prefer.

i got the 200 gram wolfgang one here recently. i gotta say it was a pretty penny but good god does it do wonders!

love that its a larger bar too because ive used a mothers "kit" bar for years only to have cramping hands afterwards so i appreciate a clay bar thats got some size and weight to it...

How is 160g not enough? I usually use 80g ( half the bar ) or maybe it's half that since two bars are included, either way I use half one of their bars

the larger the bar the bigger the surface area. plus i was always used to using the tiny mother's kit one lol

Make the switch over to a clay block or towel and you will never use want to use a traditional clay bar ever again. Magna Sponges are really cheap, works 10x faster and lasts several times longer. Plus you can drop them on the floor with no problems. Just give it a quick rinse. They are fairly aggressive so you will need to use a lite polish or paint cleaner afterwards (which you should be doing anyways if you are claying the paint.)

just read up on this mysterious product. Looks intriguing. I like the aggressive part. I have 2 cars lined up next month that are a HOT MESS!! This might be the trick. CG has one that AG doesn't carry. bah!

AG carries the same product under Ultima elastrofoam but cost quite a bit more.

I like Meg's OTC in the black box with the spray wax. Better than Mothers.

I have been using Zaino for last years and have user mothers as well. both are good product.

+1. The mothers clay bar is way too soft for my liking.

I consider softer as good.

I did not find any difference between Meg's and Mothers side by side so softness is not necessarily related to effectiveness.
