How did it come out?.....the full writeup is coming soon! :)

That is nuts! How can anyone think of washing their car with a scotchbrite pad is just beyond me.

Ya, no kidding. Everyone knows a grill brush works better...

i prefer to wash my car with a twisted steel wire wheel on an angle grinder.

I find dynamite very effective on stubbon stains

:applause: The more I read this the more it makes me laugh. I can just picture someone doing this and seeing the paint flying off in a wake behind it like what comes out the back of a jet ski.

The level of idiocy had no boundaries. It's like space, it's origin is unknown and it knows no boundaries.......

I'd be a but concerned about the clear coat on the crease close to the windshield....

So they put a clear bra on the car for protection, but then washed the car with a Scotch-Brite pad?? Amaza-zing!!!!

I met a local guy here in Stuart and he washed his brand new black Jeep with a Scotchbrite pad.

I recommended a few Pro Detailers in the area that could undo the damage and when I told him the price it would cost he thought it was to high...

Looks horrible, next time I see him I'll try to take a picture...

:)

I don't normally detail my car, but when I do, I prefer a scotchbrite pad.

Wow.

my neighbor did this on part of his truck thinking it would be a good way to get slung on mud off. sigh.

Here you go!

Awesome! LOL

That paint is horrible, I am sure you will make it look like new again though :dblthumb2:

At the local car wash last summer I seen a women with a newer white Monte Carlo using the TIRE cleaner brush and scrubbing as hard as she could all over the back of the car... sometimes there just is no hope

I always thought it was a joke that people say. But I guess not, people do actually clean their cars with a scotchbright pad!

I missed the clear bra :laughing::laughing:

Maybe this car was detailed by the same guy on youtube that detailed a rear quarter scratch with dirty water and bath towels.
